Movie for a Sunday afternoon: "5 Fingers"(1952)

Today's feature is based upon the true story of Cicero(James Mason), the Albanian valet to the British Ambassador to Turkey who doubled as a spy for the Axis during World War II. It features one of my favorite endings to any film made during the 1950s.

In 1956, 20th Century Fox remade it in a condensed form for their "Hour of Stars" anthology series under the title of "Operation Cicero" with Ricardo Montalban and Peter Lorre.

James Mason!

I know his later work, this should be interesting. The director is one of the best too.

You’re welcome. I think it’s one of the most perfect endings in movie history. The main characters get exactly what they deserve.
