Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt used an appearance on NPR on Monday to announce his company was cutting ties with the American Legislative Exchange Council, a conservative organization composed of private companies and state legislators, over the group’s position on “climate change.”
“Everyone understands climate change is occurring, and the people who oppose it are really hurting our children and our grandchildren and making the world a much worse place," Schmidt told NPR’s Diane Rehm. "And so we should not be aligned with such people – they're just, they're just literally lying.”
As Schmidt might find out to his misfortune, “literally lying” may turn out to be a defamatory, even libelous, claim. There are plenty of people who believe the productive activities of mankind have affected the planet’s mean temperature, and there are a number of scientists who either say it hasn’t, that the evidence is still out or, even if it has, that the consequences are negligible. The debate, despite what President Barack Obama, former Vice President Al Gore and others have repeatedly alleged, is far from over.

We can now add about 1/2 a bazllion dollars to ALDC’s coffers.
And they damn well better file! Letting lies like this stand (the lies about people who understand AGW is a lie) cannot go unchallenged.

Another news article where I looked for the satire heading right after I read the first couple of sentences.
Actually, global warming is a myth that has become a religeon. THere is no supporting fact or data— none. It is used to take control of your life base on an absolute well understood lie.
Growing Artic and Antarctic sea ice, no rise in global temperature for 17 years means they are losing all their talking points. Super hurricanes and tornados haven’t happened as predicted. The ocean hasn’t risen. All they got left is to hold their hands over their ears while yelling na-na-na-na-na........................

But, but, that can’t be. I have been building my ark for three years because Algore said the polar ice caps would be gone soon and the seas would rise and and and then John Kerry confirmed that data by saying in 20 to 40 years we might have temperatures rising four degrees and and the President is instructing the UN to tax the shit out of me so he must know the truth.
All those servers used by Google must be throwing out an awful lot of heat.

Google can fund whoever it pleases. But Schmidt’s comments are idiotic - pull your money and go, there’s no need to make an ass of yourself on the way out.
Sadly, not sarcasm... I actually heard it... on NPR... this morning I heard 0bama spewing some other moronic global warming BS.
Google can ‘gag’ all the ‘organizations’ that it chooses, but THIS voice, THIS mind, me, shall not be gagged. In the marketplace, in between friends and associates, in other public venues, I shall notbe gagged, for this “climate change worshipping/federal government intervention for the planet”, has but one goal .... anti-Constitutional control of every American’s life.
Wasn’t Rbt Kennedy Jr. (a curse upon them *all*) just bemoaning the fact that “deniers” can’t be prosecuted for treason?
