I’m not sure how they operate, but it seems to me that there are too many things which can go wrong between baster and “done”, as we see here. And I don’t really cotton to the idea of conceiving a child based on a laundry list, rather than with an actual man whom I know, who is committed to me in holy wedlock and vice versa, and we mutually deal with whatever God sends us, the child we create together.
Maybe there was a little turkey gravy left in the baster.

I don’t have a problem with the fact that she wanted a white child, I have a problem with everything else about this-the hypocrisy, the fact that she is trying to blame everyone else for her own beliefs, the fact that the poor kid, whoever it would have been, would be brought up by two “mommies”, the creation of a child through a sperm bank, etc. People choose their marriage mates based on a lot of things, and the children they would mutually conceive can be one of the factors. No one says it’s “racist” that one of those factors, even if not consciously recognized, might be mutual race. No one says blacks or anyone else are racist for doing so, only whites.
They’ll have to move to Kenya, or Hawaii. Oh wait...they could just stay in Chicago.
