The star of TV's The Cosby Show and That's So Raven sat down with Oprah Winfrey and attempted to clarify the misconceptions about who she is. One of the topics the women addressed occurred in August 2013, when the Supreme Court ruled that the ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. At the time, she tweeted, "I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you." Many people saw it as her way of publicly coming out. Asked to explain, Raven replied, "That was my way of saying I'm proud of the country. But, I will say that I'm in an amazing, happy relationship with my partner. A woman."

I’ve never understood identifying as an African American. I don’t call myself a European American. My roots are in America and I am far removed from any connection to England, France or Norway. Still, one of these years I will attend a Syttende Mai event in honor of my late grandfather.

Homosexuality is an abomination and that aptly describes you, missy. I prefer to reserve the word "gay" for what it really means before the pink Nazis corrupted it.

The problem here is here “yay government”. She doesn’t understand the Constitution. But neither does John Roberts and the libs on the court.
I wish we had a tough president with a hard hitting AG that would demand Roberts resignation. He refuses, start impeachment hearings. His Obamacare decision alone is so unconstitutional it’s laughable.

I like her attitude and could frankly care less who she goes home to every night after work.
I’m glad that she is proud to an American first and foremost and that she does not seem to care to label and define herself as either an African-America or as Queer.
Seems like Oprah has a REAL problem with both her lack of preoccupation with her racial identity and her sexual orientation.
But then, Oprah sucks.
Neither have I, and I've got slave blood. My parents always told me that I was an American. No hyphens, end of story.
Although I disagree with her sexual predilections, I will say that I really admire her refreshing attitude about rejecting identity politics.

If Roberts resigned now, Obama would name his replacement. How would that improve things?
And, for what it's worth FRiend, I think you're a Native American as am I. It always galled me that term was used by the PC crowd for a select few based on their complexion. Yes an American you surely are. And on top of that, by choice, a Texan! Without a doubt the most thoroughly American state of 'em all! Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina are also close but they ain't quite Texas! :)
My attitude is that people should not flaunt or rub other peoples noses in their their sex lives, gay or heterosexual.
Whatever happened to the concept of privacy and discretion?
I really could care less what Queers do in the privacy of their own bedrooms. What irritates me is that they seem to wish to force the rest the world to become forced, reluctant voyeurs to their escapades and to not just watch but also to applaud and affirm their sexual life style choices.
Oafrah destroyed her career because she relentlessly promoted what is now proving to be the worst President in US history.
