Recent Mars Images (Marvin the Martian throws down the kaboom in a guest zot)
Posted on 10/08/2014 10:49:46 AM PDT by aardwolf46
All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...
JPL uncensored video showing large-scale structure:

Gear of some sort.

If we had mountains, it would be okay if we had snow on them.

Good luck being bricklike!
I’m going to put Kathleen to bed. I’ve made Dog go outside: she was barking at the cats.

You used to have mountains, and they were taller than the Rockies. I suspect that some of your (our) ancestors did a lot of traipsing around on them.

My ancestors were in Europe, but ‘Face’s were probably traipsing here.

Actually, some of my ancestors were traipsing here and some in Europe, the Middle East and Asia...and even South Africa. So mountains are good...

Everything Bob said.
Good winter tyres with deep treads are helpful.
Take it steady, Nully.
We’re expecting snow any day now. They have it 50 miles north.

"My ancestors were in Europe, but Faces were probably traipsing here." I'm not sure where my ancestors were traipsing, but I know they were hillbillies wherever it was. Having one leg shorter than the other appears to be a genetic characteristic with my kin.

The natural, and cautious, tendency is to slow down. This is somewhat helpful,
but it is also necessary to summon enough intrepid fortitude to maintain a
bit of momentum in order to get through the resistance offered by the snow.In cKY, We're use to Ice-storms (we get 4/5 year), many ppl. "freeze-up" (pun) on the Ice....
Many of US just reduce the speed/grit the teeth/enjoy the tobaggan run..and try to rem. condition of the tires!
and hope, like hell there aren't any newbies on the run.

Now that my place is thoroughly messed up, I can sit and rest. HAH!
It looks like I am either moving in or moving out. And I used the last of the cat litter when I was cleaning up the bedroom.
Maybe I will sit and rest for a while...and knit, just to have something to do with my hands.

Snow driving is constant hydro-planing. That was precisely the sensation I had!
It felt like I was just on the verge of flat-out hydro-planing.
Did get to practice dealing with the ch-ch-ch-chatter of ABS breaking, though!
