This is a case of an adult beating a child on his upper thighs and testicles. One wonders is AP was getting a sexual charge out of it. It appears you are looking for Bibical justification for doing so.
The guy is a product of his environment. Which means he’s mostly just ignorant of how to act. A more prudent outcome would be be to force the guy into parenting and anger management classes, probation, a fine or whatever and supervised visits with his kids until he shows behavior modification. I don’t think his whole world and career needs to end. He’s probably not an evil guy.
Additionally condom useage lessons might help too.

He is nothing and nobody inside. A complete narcissist. Many of us who were attacked as children grew up and became parents who don’t attack their children but find other ways to redirect. Beating is not a requirement.
I am constantly having to tell the adults in charge of the children in beating cases that they will have to find another way to make their point. Yes, it may take longer and require them to engage brain prior to laying down the consequence, but the children will have a better chance to be healthy and productive.

Well I think the beating that Petersen gave his 4 year old is totally unacceptable and I certainly am on record with multiple comments about it on FR. But in all honesty if you did the same thing to your kid and got hauled into court the max you would get is probably about a year in jail if it was a first offense more likely probation. You most likely would not lose your job and your career.
All I’m saying is I don’t think the guy necessarily needs to lose his whole life over this. It would be a much better outcome if he was able to change his behavior and mental attitude and have a good relationship with his kids.

Married, good wives, children, smart, and very importantly, wise. They’re working in very good positions at companies everyone on this board would recognize.

Adrian Peterson has 5 or 6 or 7 kids from just as many ‘baby momma’s’. He’s not married to any of them and those women will bleed him dry.

The out of wedlock kid thing won’t be an issue for the NFL until it’s an issue in society. People like to pretend the league leads, but it doesn’t. It’s all about the PR, when society decides Behavior X is bad, then that behavior brings bad press, which the league doesn’t want, so they go after it, sometimes bringing good press. But until the behavior causes bad press the league doesn’t care, and it shouldn’t, in the end off field behavior is only their business when it effects the bottom line. Same with any other employer.
If he beats it, which he probably won’t, he won’t have any grounds to sue the league. They were acting in their best interest, he was adding to their PR mess and they needed to separate themselves from certain players. Especially with his suspension giving him his salary he’ll have nothing to stand on. What’s he going to sue for? Stat?
