Holding a bottle of what appears to be alcohol in one hand, the woman was filmed as she told tourists exactly what she thought of the vibrant area in an expletive-laden speech.
The guide even warned potential residents against moving to Chinatown, despite it being the cheapest neighbourhood in the city.

I used to go to Mexico a lot as I still have many relatives there. I USED to say how FILTHY Mexico was.
Then my husband and I lived in the Middle East and I waxed poetic on how FILTHY the Middle East was.
We traveled to places that we knew we would NEVER go to when we got back home so we went to India. The Middle East was pristine compared to India.
We finally went on a three-week tour to China. And we saw all the "best" and most famous places. Indian was pristine compared to China.
CHINA won the MOST FILTHY PLACE ON EARTH Award.
I often had to sleep in my clothes, WITH my shoes on, the beds were so filthy, pillows strewn with long black hair. Bathrooms? My husband had to fight off the cockroaches while I used the toilet. Lol. No wonder the Bubonic Plague, a disease of filth, started there.
Yes. I watched a bit of the to-do about Ben Bradlee’s death yesterday. Even as far back as the 50’s, he was ingratiating himself with a future president, and the future president was doing the same.

I stopped going to NYC Chinatown restaurants after a desperate run to a bathroom...what a horror. Better to save it and ruin the taxi ride home.
I’m fascinated by your world wide tour. My experiences are generally confined to Europe - which is pretty damned clean.
My husband gave up when two Thanksgiving turkeys, beautifully cooked, but out on the table to cool for over 10 minutes were forced into the garbage by inspectors. How many poor people could those beautiful turkeys have fed? My husband’s chef cried...

Better to cook Chinese yourself. It's NOT DIFFICULT at all. 90% of it is having the spices on hand. There are TONS of cookbooks and they will show you how SIMPLE it is to cook "Chinese." They use LOTS of sauces and spices on everything to disguise OLD meat and vegetables. They don't toss old food, meat, fish or veggies; they simply put stronger sauces on it.
The rich French sauces USED to do that but that kind of cooking isn't necessary any more. Fresh produce and meats are now available all year round.
The Chinese also produce ZERO desserts. If you want desserts you MUST visit the West! Ice cream, cake. Yummers.
Also, part of the Asian Oriental tummy is an ALLERGY to dairy products. They can't even eat yoghurt.
Imagine, a world without ice cream.

I never understood how they can look at us evil right wingers who WANT them to succeed. To have what we all have, and claim we are racists for it. It just shows how thorough the libs brainwash was.

Would rather spend 2 hours shelling
and roasting raw peanuts than spend
an extra 10 cents a pound on the
already roasted peanuts.

What the tour guide says is all true, but
her rage against them is uncalled-for.

You forgot one thing: they spend huge sums on
going back to China and Vietnam to show
their relatives what big shots they are,
then they come back and rage against anyone
who dares to do anything but stay at home...
too expensive! They spend huge sums in Asia
fixing up their dead ancestors’ graves while
they themselves live like dead people in their
US homes, which end up smelling like graves.
Of all the minorities to hate on, the hard-working, polite Asians are the least deserving of a tirade IMO
I never thought of that! Bitter about working on a holiday. I never got over that particular incident. Only a very decadent society would allow food like that to go into the garbage.
