A New York doctor being treated for Ebola has found another way to pass the time in a hospital isolation ward: He's playing his guitar, city health officials say.

Dr. Craig Spencer, 33, has been in isolation at Bellevue Hospital since being diagnosed with Ebola last month. He's now listed in stable condition, and city officials said he continues to improve....

The New York-based emergency room doctor had been treating Ebola patients at a Doctors Without Borders medical center in Guinea when he was infected. He arrived back in the United States on Oct. 17 and was diagnosed with Ebola and isolated on Oct. 23.

New York City is monitoring 357 people for possible Ebola, the vast majority of whom are travelers who arrived in the city within the last 21 days...

Even if he is recovering, what has been the total cost? The decontamination by an ex-fellon, patient tracking, lawyers, medical transport and future rehab. I think we can safely estimate the costs are greater than one million usd.

How many patients in a cluster before our health system collapses? I keep hearing the screams of science. Of course we all know that liberal science is Dialectical materialism.

Real science is the first mandate of medicine. Do no harm. Doing no harm is prevention of disease. Prevention of disease is preventing the spread of disease. The best method to prevent the spreading of disease is to embargo from the hot zones.

“How many patients in a cluster before our health system collapses?”

At one of the “Ebola Hospitals” they didn’t accept new patients and sent them elsewhere. That’s a pretty huge stress on the system I would think. I imagine there is only a certain numbe of Ebola patients that any one hospital could handle as well.
