How fortunate we are that they have a natural aversion to reproducing.

The world definitely has too many people starting with environmental writers. This woman should off herself and decrease her carbon footprint to zero, but maybe she’ll make great compost!

Too bad her mother didn’t feel the same way.

Can we say that these people are certifiably nuts? That they are on the lunatic fringe???

So now we are saying that a woman having a baby has an environmental impact??? We are saying that baby has a negative carbon footprint??? Do we really want to go there??

This just proves that delusion is not just a river in Egypt.

Or something like that.

That woman can’t think for herself. She’s simply repeating leftist one liners.

“person who will inevitably leave a large carbon footprint”

That sure sounds racist to me.

There you have it, women are to blame.

This is the war on women that has building to a crescendo for 50+ years.

Obviously men have no culpability whatsoever in procreation ... something I fault both left and right idealogues with from way back.

“Specifically,” she wrote, “an American person who will inevitably leave a large carbon footprint.”

If she feels that strongly about it she could always take her child to live in India or some other third world country. It would certainly reduce the child's "carbon footprint", and her's as well. Of course it would also drastically reduce the child's chance of growing up healthy, but hey, sacrifices have to be made, right?

Guilt, guilt, guilt! Leftists cannot enjoy life because there is aways someone further Left who will make Leftist number 1 fell guilty about whatever they enjoy. A Leftist friend of mine recently commented on the new (grand) addition to our family ‘I always enjoy hearing about a new baby, it is such a sign of hope’. Maybe my happiness is rubbing off on her!

Reminds me of Rush Limbaugh's Undeniable Truth of Life Number 24: "Feminism was established so as to permit unattractive women easier access to the mainstream."
... in that the thread headline makes ugly feminazi envionmentalist-wackos comfortable in their barrenness.

PS-this is just Leftists using Alinsky tactics to keep their herd in line. Leftists ridicule Democrats who don’t toe the line. That’s why ‘moderate’ Democrats are silent. They can’t take the ridicule from their own. Lucky we have learned (for the most part) to ignore the ridicule.

By that logic, she is an environmental villain by continuing to breathe.

If she regards statistics as destiny, she should move to where the statistics are ‘better’ about an individual having a smaller environmental ‘footprint’. That might be Bangladesh or Somalia for an example.

What is left out of this whole discussion and her apparent mindset is that the American baby stands a whole lot better chance of making a favorable impact on the world than these other places. This worry is literally “Throwing the baby out with the bath water!”
