We eat a lot of rice and I've decided a rice dispenser would be a nice present for Christmas

The models and the dispensing mechanism are varied.
I prefer a larger model ... 50 - 70 lbs
Thanx in advance

Rice Dispenser.
How is it I’ve lived 57 years and never have heard of a rice dispenser before?

I have found that the fewer digital electronics on the rice cooker the better.

Apparently I have a rice dispenser. I’ve been calling it a scoop though. I scoop rice out of the bucket and into a measuring cup.

I like Jasmine Rice. I like it so that each piece of rice is mostly solid and somewhat dry. I’ve found that the easiest way to get that effect of ‘restaurant rice’ that can be neatly scooped is to boil it long and slowly with just a little water. If you have a big family, you may consider a pressure cooker, although I’m a little afraid of those things, having seen too many comedies by the Three Stooges or Laurel & Hardy or Lucille Ball.

That is called a rice rocket.

They also work great for attracting mice & rats. Make sure you get the model that comes equipped with a cat.
