Welcome to theNFL now go home
He didn’t reach Ryan Leaf level of suck. That’s about the best that can be said, though.
It could have been raining.
Manziel was always going to be a project and was never worth a first round pick. BUT, if he sits on the bench a few years to learn from a seasoned vet and good QB coach he could turn out to be a decent NFL quarterback. Or not - we’ll see. The bottom line is that he was way overrated coming out of college and that hurt him.
How do you write an article like this and not even mention Brian Bosworth?
And so the soap opera ends, for now.
Brian Hoyer isn't perfect. Heck, I don't even know if he's good. But he's a local boy who showed some promise and got some wins. A few of his losses were bad breaks. The Browns during them had a field goal kicker who can't kick and Josh Gordon probably messed up more than he helped his first few weeks back.
That's my take. It would be really nice to see the Browns rally around Hoyer, have a decent game plan, and win that last game. For the fans.
He only got the Heisman because the voters liked the novelty of voting for the first freshman to get it. There’s a reason why the Heisman has traditionally gone to upperclassmen.
As the Riggles skit on FOX’s pre-game show said, he can keep his stupid nickname but he must put quotes around the word “football”.
He was fun to watch on Friday nights here in Kerrville and set a lot of records at A&M. Is his NFL career over?
Takes five to be an NFL QUARTERBACK....think Fran Tarketon
Johnny Ca-ching has the heart and the nerve to play in the NFL but he’s not got the body to match. It is what it is.
It’s too bad he was hurt, but it’s only one game. I think he’ll develop into a winner.
The most over-hyped player in recent times (Michael Sam excepted)
His QBR for the year is 5.1. I suppose it is theoretically possible his career could have gotten off to a worse start but I'm not sure how.
