Well this has been on my mind for a few days now and I like to see if anyone else has had such an experience.
I was listening to the radio late on our annual drive home for Christmas last Thursday. The talk show subject was is Santa Claus real.
One of the callers describe and experience in which as a child he and his family were driving home late one night and they heard the sound of jingle-bells and they saw something moving fast across the sky in the moon light.
The story reminded me of my own experience I was 8 years old and I manged to find a hidden stash of Christmas toys just days before Christmas devastating my Mother and uncovered the 'truth' about Santa.
A few days later Christmas Eve night I awoke in the middle of the night by something. I remember like it was yesterday I went to the window that looked out on to the small grass stripe between our apartment building and the next one over it was very bright as the moon shown down. As I looked out to see what I heard I clearly remember hearing the sounds of jingle bells and then a very large shadow quickly passed over the ground.
I can't believe that a dream would remain so vivid in my memory all these years and yet how could it be so?
And so even now after four children of my own and six grandkids I have to admit I Believe.
So it was Christmas Eve of 1969 and I went to bed and stared out my bedroom window for what seemed like hours.
Then I saw a red light moving across the sky. It could have been a jetliner heading into Logan Airport but at the time, I was pretty sure it was Rudolph's nose, leading Santa and his sleigh into my town. I immediately raced to my bed and got under the covers. Next thing I knew, it was early Christmas morning and my siblings and I were racing down the stairs to see what was under the tree.
And there were things under the tree.
All goodness and righteousness flows from his hands, the gifts of the seasons are Obama’s also. this I believe as surely as I see him unite the nations, smite the forces of darkness, and prance around Hawaii looking gay.
haha you’re funny
Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas eve
You can say there’s no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we Believe

Ya... had that same question before me earlier this evening with the strict requirements: yes/no. My answer, “In my mind, yes.”
Naturally, “my mind” was challenged, but I moved the discussion along to other things.
Merry Christmas!
