They don’t need Foghat for anything though, lol.
Rocky (how original, right?) was a cantankerous territorial male who did not share “his” people with anyone but cats.
Weird critter.
He got old, didn’t show up one night.
Only time I ever saw such behavior too.
Yeh looking for some salt.
“Diabeetus!”*

Imagine diabetic deer.
“Humans are delicious!”
tip of the hat to star trek.
Don’t need a feral government park. We have deer in our back yard right here in Texas. Just this past month there were 5 young ones eating 30 yards from the back door. They are very partial to apple scented corn, and are fed once a day. Where they might go at night, still unanswered —we enjoy them when we can. All to often, they will walk in single file thru the pasture —way too close to the road for any and all to see. A lot like having a ‘Secret Garden’ and something very special.

Really smertfoan?
Wilford Brimley.
Briiiiiiimley.
When I was about 8 a deer chased me all over the campground because it wanted my pear. LOL
Wilford Catley!
The day before elk season one year I hiked up to a high saddle and spent the night under a lean-to made with a plastic dropcloth. Got up the next morning to fresh snow and continued hiking for some high lakes. At sunup a yearling mulie doe started following me, closely. She stayed with me for three hours and quite a few miles until I got to the lakes. I met another hunter who had hiked in from the other direction. He saw my deer and his eyes bugged. I said she’s been following me all morning. We parted ways and he stole my deer, she went with him.
I'm thinking the same thing.
Reminds me of the hunter and his guide in Alaska. The hunter asked the guide why he carried a 22 when hunting bear. The guide responded saying “it’s the perfect caliber”. three hours later the came around a bend and were face to face with a sow grizzly and her cubs. As she comes at them at a full charge the guide pulled out the 22 and shot the hunter in the leg then took off running.
(1)If had been an older fawn, does have been known to attack. (2) If a doe, many cases of bucks being territorial with mates and attacking too. Best place to get a good look, is through a scope at the top of your stand.
You got to watch them Guides....
