NFL ref uses wrong mic, calls official ‘Jungle Boy’

Referee Ed Hochuli referred to replay official Tom Sifferman by his nickname “Jungle Boy,” which was heard on the in-stadium microphone during the Cardinals-Panthers NFC wild-card game Saturday in Charlotte, N.C.

I'm assuming that replay official Tom Sifferman is a white guy or Ed Hochuli would be out of a job.

This isn't over, someone will be "offended".

An official was acting in a jocular fashion at a football game and made reference to a nickname that could be construed as being offensive to somebody.

I think Hochuli is very well protected. Lousy ref, but an untouchable one. I’m pretty sure this one will blow over quickly.

The official is white. He got his nickname from touring a jungle on a trip to Hawaii.

The correct term for the media to have conniptions over is “Jungle Bunny” not Jungle boy.

The pressholes are out looking for another excuse to cause more riots.
