I remember a girls weekend in Palm Springs when this song (”every breath you take”) came on the radio and the whole car of girls were all singing this. The song is really bringing me back. We had a bit to drink and at the restaurant my friend (still one of my very best) winked at me and ate an entire pat of butter. She swears she never did that. But I remember! And then we went to some dance bars (back when they weren’t all gay yet) and one serviceman danced with me all night and then even called me at the hotel where we all shared one room... But I already had two boyfriends back in L.A..... What a little heartbreaker I was. And then I married someone completely different and moved to Switzerland... Yep, those were the 80s...
