Apparently you have a very narrow definition of the word 'warfare'. Unlike pretty much all dictionaries.

war·fare

\ˈwȯr-ˌfer\

1 : military fighting in a war

2 : activity that is done as part of a struggle between competing groups, companies, etc.

3 : struggle between competing entities

No cheating involved, Belichick knows the rules and the doofus crowd doesn’t. Just like the practice of law, if you don’t know the statutes the rules and the applicable case law, you lose. Period. End of discussion. Just because you do it differently, does NOT mean you have done it wrong, see?

brady should wear a skirt.... once he gets hit a couple of times he crumbles.... ask the giants

now we will see if new england can play with a fully inflated ball to match brady’s overinflated ego...

there is always the stench of illegal plays, deflated balls, spying and such surrounding the new england pats...

let’s see if gronk, blount and edelman can play with a regulation ball....doubt it ...

Belichek livin' rent free in the NFL's head

Yeah. It ain't legal unless the ump called it. On a TD, couldn't the Colts have asked for a review?

On another note, is it really possible Sherman could skip the game if his baby's momma's childbirth gets in the way? Is that part of the NFL sensitivity thing?

I like two kinds of sports. Extremely excellent or extremely ridiculous. Sherman vs Brady, Carroll vs Belichek etc, could be extremely excellent. Then again, we could get extremely ridiculous with prevent breast cancer commercials (or whatever), a Katie Perry half time show, extreme pressure-gauging and guarding of footballs, a sensitive QB taking maternity leave, etc, etc.

The Ravens ones were checked and were legal, and the refs wents so far as to explicitly tell the Ravens not to cover the intelligible receiver..which is a bit beyond the rules. The Patriots botched two in the Colts game, of which one was flagged.

That’s part of why teams don’t do that often, or they do it very often, like on special teams...it confuses them too.

Some offenses in College have made it part of their regular game plan. ... then there’s the Swinging Gate play.

Russell Wilson dumped his first wife as he was emerging as a star in the NFL. Or did you forget about that?

He was screaming about it during the game, and got it completely wrong.

His running onto the field to scream about it was what got a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

If Belichek is so great, why did he fail so badly in Cleveland?

Putting Intercepteverde in for Kosar is forever a stain on his soul, not to mention Metcalf up the middle...

The New England Patriots’ prevention of fumbles is nearly impossible.

Using a small running back like Vereen as an offensive lineman is a horrible offensive tactic...

Vereen's a tough "little" guy (205 is little on that level, I guess) with a quick enough start to neutralize the initial charge of all but the quickest linemen. Not for long, but enough. And misdirection is the name of the game when teams are pretty evenly matched.

“Why does this remind me of the “Snow plow” kick to win the game against the Dolphins on the last play?”

I can remember watching that game live. By the time everyone figured out that it was not a legal play the game was over.

It was pretty funny. Announcers were talking about how the field goal was difficult because of the footing and then from the sidelines comes this guy with a sweeper and cleared it down to the grass.

Afterwards it was found out that the guy was a convict on work release. I guess he figured he had nothing to lose!

If the Colts had realized it, they could have asked the refs to consider it. But they didn’t notice either.

The Play WAS reviewed and everyone missed it during the game, as the swapping in and out of the game wasn’t directly germane to the play on the field. Had the Colts noticed, and brought it to the attention of the refs, it would have been part of the review.

That said, the Colts had been given the information on who was non-standardly eligible and who was not, and should have been able to match up. The Patriots error was akin to a 12-men in the huddle penalty where the substitution was out of sequence while everyone knows who is part of the play.
