Technically Incorrect: As technology becomes more fixated on fashion, the maker of the iPhone and the Apple Watch is well placed to take advantage.

They’re obsessive/compulsive IDIOTS ... :-) ... it’s an ILLNESS in that they can’t avoid the Apple threads and just have to spew out their Apple-hater sentiments. It’s the same handful, over and over again. Just yesterday one of them was BANNED from Free Republic because he was that obnoxious!
What is sickeningly pathetic is that Apple-haters have to obsessively inject their bile into Apple threads that no one called them to!
Sad.
Sad.
One was banned? Awesome.
The constant hate they spew is tiresome.
You need to reset your iPad to factory default condition, using iTunes, because that gives you a “clean install” of your system and clears out any accidentally corrupted files.
Then make sure your operating with at least 10% free space on your flash drive. Don’t crowd your free space as that tends to slow things down. It could be between 5-10% free space, if you wanted.
Also make sure your apps are updated to iOS 8. There were some reports of apps which weren’t and those developers and their programming was causing havoc with iOS 8 and slowing things down.
BUT ... before all that, you should have a hardware check done by Apple to make sure there is not some hardware failure in one component or the other in your iPad.
Yeah, I went around and around with him on one of my Apple threads that I posted. He did nothing but waste time and fill up the thread with Apple-hater garbage. A few hours later, he was banned!
I think you are the ignorant one. . . spouting so much mythology and FUD. The fact is that most Apple users are far more computer literate that are you. . . having been Windows users who have now learned a second computer system, they are now literate in at least TWO operating systems, while YOU are only semi-literate in one. . . because you are so damned cocksure of your superiority that you demonstrate you don't know where your system's GUI roots came from.
You giggle about Mac Genus (sic) and show you don't even know what they do. . . because not one of the Mac Geniuses sell a damn thing. They are tech support and training. The sales people are also there to assist customers in selecting what they want and will often direct them to a lower priced product it hat will suffice. Apple Genius have to be Windows and Mac specialists because many of their clients are going to be moving their data and settings from a Windows computer onto a Mac that may also may be running Windows either natively or in a Sandbox as a virtual Machine. I run THREE Windows virtual machines on my Mac, including Windows XP, 7 and 8.1, as well as two versions of Linux, all underneath the prime operating systems of UNIX, and OS X Yosemite. I have, Monoprise, run ALL SEVEN of those operating systems at once on my Mac, just to see that it could do it. . . and the Mac did it quite well. In addition to those seven, I have MS-DOS 3.6. Amiga-DOS, THEOS, and several other operating systems in virtual drives available on my drive to boot in Virtual Machines if one of my clients needs support.
Let's take a look at these people who aren't "computer illiterate". These particular people are rocket scientists and engineers, specifically the people who were responsible for landing the Curiosity Rover on Mars. . . and let's look at the computers they have chosen as their personal computers:
. . .which the engineers bought with their own money. This also shoot down your "Apple products are only compatible with their own stuff," meme, considering these are interfaced with NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab's "stuff".
Now, some on FR have claimed before that these Macs are not running Apple's operating system. . . so let's take a closer look to make sure they are:
Looks as if the one who doesn't know what he's talking about is you. Why don't you learn something about Macs before you denigrate them based on hearsay from other people just as ignorant as you are?
Apple Macs are extremely powerful computers, and very knowledgeable computer users select the best to use.
Your ignorant claim that Apple goes to "extraordinary lengths" to imprison its customers in an Apple jail of compatibility is totally false, when it is actually Microsoft who, through writing incompatible code to MS only file types (see Word file type) and refusing to release the standard to other coders, and building into its web-tools code that specifically excludes non-microsoft browsers and operating systems, and refusing to comply with international HTML5 coding standards, has been the miscreant in the compatibility area. Apple has been compliant with international standards for almost 20 years. . . including having a 100% ACID 3 HTML test, making its word processors and spreadsheet software MS Office compatible. . . which Microsoft Internet Explorer has yet to reach 90%. I again refer you to photo above about "stuff" for proof of your ignorance.
You have this absurd idea that Apple survives on a "cult mentality" which is willing to pay high prices . . . but you cannot explain how this accounts for the fact that on December 22, 2014, Apple sold it's ONE BILLIONth iOS Device. . . and it has over 100,000,000 OS X users. Yet just five years ago, there were less than half that number of OS X users. . . and Apple is selling more iPhones in the rest of the world than they do in the USA where these cult members must live. 85% of the sales of iPhone 6 and 6plus came from ex-ANDROID users. Those must be real strong Apple Cultists.
I think your giggling is coming from your severe case of Apple derangement or MAPS . For your, and others' benefit, my girlfriend and I have come up with a new diagnostic code for people who suffer from this syndrome, which we will be submitting to the next addenda to the IDC-10 which they just updated from the ICD-9, which had 17,000 diagnostic codes, to over 155,000. They must have missed this one.
Swordmaker's and Kathy's proposed diagnosis for the new International Diagnostic Code-10 addenda:
90210 iOS Munchausen's Apple-Plexy Syndrome (MAPS), The overwhelming compulsion to post negative, judgmental, aggressive, and false commentary on any website thread related to Apple products wherever found, including phobic reaction to projected Apple user euphoria. First and subsequent encounters.
Thank you Swordmaker for your work in setting the record straight!
And my iPad has never "crashed". There were some problems, specifically with FreeRepulblic and editing when iOS 8 first came out, but did you install the updates, or did you like a lot of people who are still complaining standing pat with the update that caused the problems? iOS 8.1.3 is out and the vast majority of iPad 2 users are reporting their problems have been solved.
You know ... the Apple Watch is going to be like the iPhone when it was first introduced. It was quite a marvel when that first iPhone came out ... BUT ... when you compare the iPhone of today with the first iPhone sold ... it’s like the comparison of the Model T to our modern cars of today!
That’s the way it’s going to be with the Apple Watch. It’s going to be a marvel, when it comes out, but WATCH OUT, because a few years down the road and you won’t believe what it will be doing!
I don’t agree. I have been in IT for a while and have earned a bunch of MS certs from MCSE NT 4 to MCSE 2012. I got tired of screwing around with my Windows laptop to keep it working right and I bought my first Macbook a couple of months ago. I love it. I spend a lot less time tweaking my laptop now. My iphone works great also, especially when compared to the windows phones I had. I have found that the longer I deal with MS products at work, the less inclined I am to waste time with them on my private stuff.
It’s very similar to your Apple worship thread yesterday
I was mistaken is right and I always admit it....which distinguishes one here in case you haven’t noticed
Do you and swordmaker work for Apple?
Star Traveler posted a thread similar
But not exactly the same
Hence I was wrong....should I use an exclamation point too..lol
I confess I did not know you so I looked back at your posts given you’re sorta fresh
It was nice to see you’re fairly culturally conservative
Well done
Btw
Note for references how often freepers admit they are wrong
I’d wager 15% max
Parse or evade or change subject....the freeper way
Id wager 15% max
I'm not always willing to admit when others here are wrong, but gol' dang it, some one has to do it. <[8^')~
No problem. Rest assured it will be my last post on anything Apple. The passion expressed by both sides results in not much intelligent discussion occurring. Sigh...
No problem ... I’ll take up the slack ... :-) ...
Both Swordmaker and I have said repeatedly in the past that neither of us work for Apple.
As for me, I’m one of Apple’s happy customers ... the kind of customer that appreciates Apple’s quality products and Apple’s attention to customer service. That is what had made Apple the MOST SUCCESSFUL company in US business history!
Glad to have you on board as another happy Apple customer!
I own I think around 9 pads and phones from 4s to 6+
And a few droids
And HP and Dell desktops and laps
I like a lot about iPhones but every time I get one I find flaws and some here brook no dissent on Apple
And some here hate Apple
I dont obviously but I do think it’s a publicly very PC corporation adored by progressives but run like robber barons
In other words hypocritical like progressives are
I’m old
My cell phone is not an identity thing I get excited enough about
I think that is part of it
