David Lean's sound tracks are among my favorites. He did Lawrence of Arabia (not too familiar with that) and Ryan's Daughter (loved that). I don't know any others he did.

Yes, Dr. Zhivago Lara's Theme has been one of my all-time favorites.

Every child needs to be exposed to classical music at a young age.

“Stranger on the Shore”, Mr. Acker Bilk. I was 8 years old, lots of good memories with that song.

As a kid in the 60's, in Chicago, I remember my dad turning on some polka party tv show every Saturday night.

I remember listening to

I was absolutely nuts for this song as a little kid. It doesn’t do much for me anymore, though. I mention it because nobody else will.

Winchester Cathedral

Another song about the same time was She Loves You by the Beatles. Very catchy and easy to sing for little kids.

We had a Christmas album or 2 with Burl Ives, when I was a kid.

Also, Mitch Miller.

Love those great 1970s-vintage disco instrumentals:

Barry White: Love’s Theme

...

I remember that being played at the Cypress Gardens water ski show.

It was actually James Watt.

After his “foot in mouth” they brought in Wayne Newton.

Glo Worm, That’s the very first song I remember from my childhood. My Mother would always have the radio turned on in the kitchen while we were taking baths in the big galvanized tub. Guess I am really old also.

I considered childhood to be under 10, as well. 10 to 18 (for me) was a big jump music wise from “How much is that doggie in the window?” and “Que Sera Sera” to “Twist and Shout” and “Louie, Louie”

I watched a movie called Song Catcher and wondered if my attraction to Blue Grass was from my brit genes or my Hungarian genes...
