Tuesday, 2015-02-17

Rush Limbaugh is discussing the Texas Judge's ruling on Obama Executive Amnesty.

Rush seems to be saying that the ruling impacts ObamaCare, in remarks made a couple of times.

Am I hearing this wrong ?

Frankly, I think Rush is confused.

To: Patton@Bastogne; LS

He lost me a few weeks ago after 15 years, but LS remarked on his confusion, too.

Yeah, that was a curve ball for me as well. Not sure if he was repeatedly misspeaking, or what was going on. Usually when he is misspoken, he immediately corrects himself.

hopefully projection?

sounds like he has caught his confusion and is back tracking on the 0bamacare comments now.

he detected his mistake and issued an apology / retraction immediately.

now he’s right 99.998% of the time ;)

Rush rocks!

I would think any disruption to hussein’s immigration scheme would affect Obamacare since fewer illegals will be paying taxes.

"...since fewer illegals will be paying taxes."

I think you mean, "Since fewer illegals will be qualifying for refunds."

LOL!

Has anyone noticed that Rush been employing “vocal fry” in his speech - - the very same linguistic trick that he ridiculed a while back. I can’t bear to listen to him any more, as a result.

He’s deaf, so I doubt that he’s doing it on purpose.

I didn't hear Rush this morning, but I did read as much of the opinion text as was available in the first 50 pages (all I could find). Obamacare was mentioned in the ruling as part of the analysis of Plaintiffs' standing to bring the case. Specifically, the fact that DACA winners can get jobs with US companies and not be counted toward the 50-employee threshold, and the reasonable expectation that DAPA winners will do likewise, make DACA/DAPA employees more desirable than citizen employees.

So the ruling doesn't affect Obamacare, but the exemptions to Obamacare affect the plaintiffs' standing.
