Geeze, even Cuba’s lunches look better.

In fact, just looking at the lunches from around the world has made me hungry!

Almost any lunch from home would be better than the stuff Mooch is pushing.

Personally I don’t think the schools other than maybe elementary school should even have cafeteria’s. Bring your own or have a sandwich vending machine and drink machine.

What did Mooschelle's children have for school lunch today?

Steak. Brie. Baked chicken breast. Shrimp. Salmon. Would the school lunches pre-Obama have compared well against foreign lunches? I highly doubt it.

When did it become the school’s job to serve food to the chillern? Was that a Lyndon Johnson deal?

Considering what Sidwell Friends charges for tuition I would hope some of that money made it to the cafeteria.

Getting the young ones used to prison food sets them up for what the rest of their life will be under a regime like this one.

Why are most of those meals served in exactly the same style of Styrofoam plate? I think this is a setup.

I have no problem with schools serving lunch to students. I have no problem (within reasonable limits) giving subsidies to low income families for school lunches.

What I do have a problem with is Mooschelle's hypocrisy in dictating what school lunches can and cannot serve vs. what her own children receive at a private school.

Remember the overblown controversy when schools had to provide two vegetables and the Reagan Administration tried to allow ketchup to count as a vegetable? The outcry in the MSM was hugh and series.

US school lunches remind me of Vladmir Voinovich's satiric novel Moscow 2042 where he wrote that true communism would be achieved when primary matter (food) equaled secondary matter (feces).

Indeed. And they bent the health care cost curve down by deporting anyone who got sick.

I remember 43 years go when black kids would riot in school because the cafeteria did not serve Soul Food!

Today the black kids in schools riot because the cafeteria serves Soul Food!

I am more than just a little suspicious of a lot of those photos ...

I agree.

A photo of a Big Mac used in a commercial makes the burger look really great too.

My grandson takes his lunch. One day I picked him up and he said he was starving. He said it was because he had to eat a school lunch that day.
