Scott Walker: 'I Don't Really Know' Whether Obama Loves America
Huffington Post ^ | 2-21-2015 | Igor Bobic

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) on Friday continued to dance around controversial comments made by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Asked whether he agreed with Giuliani's contention that President Barack Obama doesn't love America, a remark made at a private dinner for Walker in New York, the governor said, "I don't really know what his opinions are on that one way or another."

“I assume most people in this country love America," he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in an interview in Washington, D.C. "And to me I don’t think it’s worth getting into the battle over whether he does or he doesn’t. He can handle that himself. I know I do."

"And I know there are great people in this country who love this country and who ... feel this country’s exceptional and it doesn’t necessarily align by party," he added. "I think there are Republicans and Democrats and plenty of people in between. I’ve never asked the president so I don’t really know what his opinions are on that one way or another.”

As Rudy said you start with his own admission of wanting to fundamentally transform America. Couple that with all of his overt acts since making that statement, and you have proof beyond any reasonable doubt that the guy detests America and is trying to destroy it. So, Walker get with it and call a spade a spade. The people are fed up with politically correct BS. I sure hope Walker tunes in to FR for some sage political advise on how to win and win big.

I think Giuliani once again did his country a favor.

Just came online and saw all of this.

This is how the Daily Mail is reporting it.

Wow, perhaps the tenth leftist hit piece on Walker this week.

Why do people (yes, you sir) post this crap, it's from the Huffington Post. We all know the Huff po just wants to tell the truth, right?

Does anyone believe the leftist journolist has our interests at heart, or wants to actually educate us on the truth of the matter?

Good grief, this is getting sickening. Let's just destroy all our candidates on FR by posting what leftists want us to think......

A good reply to the “Does 0bama love America?” question: Hard to tell. I’ve known men who claim to love their wives right after beating and abusing them.

agreed!
his statement was very very very VERY tactfully phrased

but it suffices to get the point across

Rudy did us a favor after 9.11 and he’s doing us all another favor now

nobody else, it seems, has the cajones to even hint at the Calife’s naked anatomy

I don’t know if Walker is getting “squishy.” But I know that Obama doesn’t like the Constitution of the United States. He as much has said so.

Obama, I recall, called the Constitution of the United States a document full of “negative liberties,” or words to that effect.

He did think of it. From the article:

“I’ve never asked the president so I don’t really know what his opinions are on that one way or another.”

“In this case, I trust the experience and knowledge of Rudy and Walker more than I do that of politically-naive armchair strategists who never even ran for a bus in their whole lives let alone state and national office.”

Well said, MinuteGal. Excellent analysis and advice.

Walker started looking good but now he reveals he is blind as a bat.

Actually, I think this incident definitely raises Walker's stock as a candidate. It shows he has wisdom in dealing with the press and is able to avoid their "gotcha" journalism. What Walker thinks about whether or not Obama loves America has absolutely nothing to do with what kind of president Walker would make - so why go down that road, other than to give the media something to hammer him with?

Good grief, this is getting sickening. Let's just destroy all our candidates on FR by posting what leftists want us to think......

How many times have we seen a Republican candidate respond to something like this, get hammered in the press and destroyed as a candidate over something he said, and then moaned and complained about how our candidates don't know how to deal with the media? And now, when a candidate actually avoids the trap, many on this site are complaining that the candidate DIDN'T fall into the trap.

Newsflash, people - despite the fact that most people think Obama is doing a lousy job, a majority of people still either like him as a person, or WANT to like him as a person so that they aren't getting accused of being racists. So when you attack Obama personally, you are going to alienate a bunch of people who would otherwise be willing to listen to you.

Walker did fine here. He didn't trash Rudy, or say that what Rudy said was wrong, and he also didn't defend or attack Obama. He instead refocused his comments on how he (Walker) felt about America and what he wanted to do to make her greater.

***politically-naive armchair strategists who never even ran for a bus in their whole lives***

:^D Excellent... or eeexcilllant as Monty Burns would say.

As you say, I think Rudy is just playing the tough guy... I told my son, he could easily get off the hook by saying, 'Hey! I am open minded; let him prove me wrong... I will listen - and glad to hear it.'

Rudy has decided to tough it out - and saying what any thinking American suspects and has suspected for a long time.
