I watched Downton too-—thank God for the internet.

I guess Patricia Arquette won supporting-—I’m just rooting for J.K. Simmons and Julianne Moore (”Still Alice was great-—but a tad depressing.)

“I always thought Best Director is redundant. The director is responsible for the final product, therefore whoever directed the Best Picture is the best director.”

==

Not so. The best picture is the sum of all of it’s parts—direction, cast, screenplay, costumes, music, special effects, etc.

Arquette made a speech asking for pay equality. She is economically illiterate. Hello, Patricia, many women take time off to raise kids.
Winner of documentary award praised Edward Snowden. Really?

That’s why I haven’t watched The Oscars in 30 years——too much liberal horse**** !!!!!!

I love the movies and love to see actors perform but have no interest in their opinions on anything.

Music performance “honoring” Dr King. I heard something about Ferguson. What a disgrace. I am watching to see if AMERICAN SNIPER will win anything.
SELMA song won...The guy complained about too black males in jail...Why are so many people political tonight? Just say thank you...then get off the podium. I will try to listen to Larry Elder tomorrow. He might have something to say about Oscars.

Anna Kendrick. She was in “Pitch Perfect”. Also two Twilight movies, and “Scott Pilgrim vs the World”.

Mostly she is doing singing-acting parts.

She was Cinderella in “Into the Woods”, hence the Cinderella outfit.

And Jack Black did kind of a parody of an “Into the Woods” song.

I have NO IDEA what the point was of having NPH in his underwear, unless it was to set up the “joke” about the Academy Awards being “serious”.

Worse than the too many black people in jail, he said we still have unfair voting laws.

Anyone can go in and vote as anyone.

Well, the documentary was about Snowden.

NPH had a good joke about it though, said Snowden “couldn’t be there for some treason”.

And Lady Gaga just did an entirely normal and fabulous homage to songs from “The Sound of Music”

His comments about voting were stupid as well. Continuing the liberal narrative about blacks being victims.

Yes, I can’t bear to see her movie but I’m glad she won.

Knowing Hollywood I was surprised “American Sniper” was even nominated =-—— Brad cooper’s nomination was also a pleasant surprise.

I didn’t like “Birdman” at all but Michael Keaton was robbed——he was fantastic.
