Viewers of Sunday night's Academy Awards ceremony weren't laughing when the In Memoriam tribute left out legendary comedian Joan Rivers.
Rivers, whose film credits include "Spaceballs," "Rabbit Test," and the documentary "A Piece of Work," passed away Sept. 4, but she wasn't included in the annual tribute to those Hollywood has lost in the previous year. This year's montage honored actor Robin Williams, actress Lauren Bacall, and director Mike Nichols, among others.
Entertainment journalists and fans spoke up on Rivers' behalf on Twitter, with many mocking the Academy's decision to recognize a marketing executive in the process.

She defended Israel and did so loudly. That was her biggest “sin”.

Yep and she criticized the Muzzies too which is why I’m not altogether convinced her death was an “accident”. They had a muzzie doctor who worked at the clinic she went to. I mean come on, what kind of an excuse is her “vocal chords locked up”? They were already looking down her throat, were her vocal chords made of steel? Just think how long she was not breathing to cause brain damage. What the hell were they doing, playing cards? She’s in a clinic surrounded by doctors, you couldn’t ask for a better place to stop breathing yet she stops breathing long enough to cause terminal brain damage? She was murdered, who are they kidding.

Well, in fariness, I don’t think her film contribution is equal to that of Robin Williams, Lauren Bacall and director Mike Nichols.
The future must not belong to those who would slander the prophet or Obama. But I repeat myself.
No, but I believe Joan and her daughter Melissa were a part of all the awards shows as they handled the red carpet and talked to people about what clothes they were wearing.
