Olbermann: I pity the pitiful fool!

ESPN anchor Keith Olbermann will not anchor his show for the rest of the week after a series of tweets directed at Penn State students.
Olbermann, who was most recently critical of Penn State on his ESPN show in January after Joe Paterno's vacated wins were restored, was told on Twitter by a user about the $13 million raised by Penn State students for pediatric cancer. He responded to the tweet with a response of "pitiful."
"We are aware of the exchange Keith Olbermann had on Twitter last night regarding Penn State. It was completely inappropriate and does not reflect the views of ESPN," the network said in a statement.

I’m beginning to see real value in Twitter letting fools prove it to a watching world.
Yeah he’s a goof that is way too braggadocios about his tweet wars/hate tweets but he’s got a very good sports recap show that’s 99% politics free.
Suspended for the rest of the week = 2 or 3 days. A slap on the wrist.
Yes, Twitter is a great avenue pushing the cream of the OCD moron crop to the surface. They just can’t help themselves.

They should have insisted that, as part of his contract, he is REQUIRED to keep his idiotic opinions to himself. (with those exact words)
Why did anyone think he was good at anythign else except reading sports news?
A three-day suspension? Not fired? One can only assume that ESPN is pretty much okay with his opinion that students raising money for pediatric cancer are pitiful. This is totally consistent with ESPN’s coverage of the Sandusky scandal.
I think a boycott of ESPN’s sponsors is in order.
And yes, Ray Lewis is either a murderer or an accomplice to murder, and ESPN treats him like he’s some kind of hero.
I love sports and will still watch, but I will make a special effort not to buy products from ESPN sponsors.
Sometimes there’s a good football, baseball, or college basketball game on ESPN. I’m not going to punish myself by not watching those games. That’s why I think the sponsor boycott is a good idea.
