In the midst of freezing weather and record snowstorms in the eastern United States, NBC's Al Roker wishes the term "Global Warming" had never been used. Too bad, Al. As the Great Lakes are mostly frozen over due to the extreme cold, you are stuck with a term devised by liberals about twenty years ago to describe what they confidently predicted would happen at the time. Now that Global Warming laughably did not pan out, suddenly liberals and Al Roker are regretting that terminology and are now using the all-inclusive "Climate Change" instead.
Roker expressed his "Global Warming" regret several days ago as he was being interviewed by Larry King about the deep freeze conditions hitting most of the country. Here is Roker who has a degree in communications, not meteorology, moaning about how he wishes "Climate Change" had been used rather than the easily mocked "Global Warming" which laughably didn't happen after Larry King brought up the now taboo term:

How does he feel with “Global Cooling”? That was what they were all about in the 70s.
Periodic climate change, both global (rare) and regional (frequent) are easily seen in the geologic record. It’s an important area to study. Unfortunately it’s now so politicized and such a source of money now that it will be a deep and murky swamp with results chosen in the political arena.
Whenever I hear anybody comment about cold/snow, my standard remark is “Whatever happened to that Global Warming we were promised? I want it!”

I remember when POPULAR SCIENCE said they would never mention GREEN HOUSE EFFECT again as the found it was bogus and an ice age was really coming.
Then about ten years later, they were hyping GLO-BULL WARMING!

Well, when I lived outside Cleveland in Brecksville, my parents were close friends with Doug Adair and Al. I certainly don’t agree with his politics, but,,, he is a very nice guy.
I prefer to call climate change by its proper name: climate.
She said emphatically that "Global Warming is heating the oceans causing more precipitation which creates more snow, thereby making it colder here."
Stossel said "So if the Earth cools down the oceans with Global Cooling, then we get less snow?"
The puzzled look on the gal's face was priceless, total confusion. An idiot, like all the rest of them.
If it were “science”, it would be falsifiable.
The left has proven, by claiming EVERYTHING as “proof” of global warming,
that it’s not science, it’s politics, or more accurately, religious.

This is the second year of extensive Great Lakes ice cover. In June, there was still ice in parts of Lake Huron.
I would like to say that I believe in “global warming.” Where I am sitting right now was under a mile thick sheet of ice 30,000 years ago, so thankfully the world is obviously a warmer place now. But the idea that mankind has a significant effect on the world’s climate is a type is simply hubris.
When did weathermen become celebrities, anyway? They can’t predict the weather 2 days ahead, let alone 20 years.
There was ice on Lake Superior in July!
