All of Our Yesterdays was one of the best episode ever. Mariette Hartley was not only beautiful, but also a real, approachable woman.
There was a line at the end when Spock, who had return to his time in both mind and body, lamented that she had been dead for millions of years was really touching. There is actually a novel where Zarabeth and Spock had a son and Spock had to ask the Vulcan Council permission to go back in time to see him.
Those were the two novelizations by the late Ann C. Crispin: ‘Yesterday’s Son’ and ‘Time for Yesterday.’ Both were good stories. I remember devouring the latter one on Spring Break in Myrtle Beach the month it was released (April ‘88).
I read some Star Wars books by Ann C. Crispin “The Han Solo Trilogy”.
They were ok. They established the Hutts as hermaphrodites who reproduced asexually. Other Hutts regarded Jabba as a pervert for liking humanoid females.
“All of Our Yesterdays was one of the best episode ever...”
Agreed.
Amok Time was great too. As was the one with the rock critter that was boring through the tunnels and killing the miners; Spock did a mind meld with it...
Another favorite was the one with the flying amoebas that attached to Spock’s back. They’d killed everyone on the planet, and Kirk and Co. beamed down. As they were leaving, on of the critters flew off the wall and attached itsef to Spock’s back.
I remember ALL of these from when I was a kid. And of course, from reruns.
I can’t believe how saddened I am by this... Yeah. I’m serious.
Jabba seemed “all male” to me, right down to his guttural laugh. Actually, he struck me as a fat Mohammadan.
He does, doesn’t he?
Jabba the Shiek
It is available on kindle. It is good.
