Columbia University and the University of California Santa Barbara trace the effects of Syria’s drought from the collapse of farming, to the migration of 1.5 million farmers to the cities, and then to poverty and civil unrest. Syria’s drought started in 2007 and continued until at least 2010 — and perhaps longer.

Iran’s drought is so severe they’ve curtailed a large portion of their agriculture. They haven’t modernized their water treatment/conservation for thousands of years.

If it rains, global warming was to blame. If it doesn’t rain, global warming caused it. Is there any weather phenomenon that isn’t caused by global warming?

Throughout history, when faced with severe drought, many civilizations have chosen to repent before God and seek His forgiveness and restoration of the rain.
Too bad both Syria and the US are both far too sophisticated for that.

I am hoping that this point only an insignificant minority, i.e. about 5-10 % or less, of liberals buy into this. I am trying to have some faith in that, that even self identified liberals can see how outrageous these allegations are.
