My question is this: What do you do about a person who is photographing locations you might consider to be a possible target of terrorism ..??

Should we report such photography to police or FBI, etc.?

I have read of several incidents where it was discovered after an attack that some person had been taking pictures of the site.

I think this is a big concern .. seeing as how we are being infiltrated by terror cells.

If you love America, not a damned thing. America has always meant anywhere you could legally stand, you could take a photo. The USSR and dictatorship nations have LOTS of places you cannot photograph things you can plainly look at.

I once had a foreign guest. She kept asking if it was allowed to take a photo, here, there,, etc. I mean in clearly public places.
I would be utterly ashamed of America for that answer to sometimes become “no you cannot take a photo of THAT building, THAT bridge”, etc.

This is utterly UNAMERICAN.

The idea a terrorist might photograph a site and therefor we must ban photography is a path to slavery to the government. Besides which any terrorist can use Google maps street view to see any public place.

Like a refinery?

Most targets like that and the Pentagon etc have been photographed/mapped/imaged many times and most can readily be pulled up with little effort.

If it looks suspicious, report it. The "possibility that one may be doing something illegal" is not reason to suspend Freedom of the People. I'll bet you don't make the same correlation when deciding whether the IRS is good to go when it locks/confiscates accounts because someone is making transactions of under $10K because "they might be trying to hide something from the all powerful government confiscators".

This is one of those cases where we can see how those who purport to believe in the Constitution can be fooled into making decisions that are quite contrary to the Constitution because something affects their sensibilities/reasoning/logic and because it's apparently "for a good and just cause".

I'll bet that you have seen and agreed with Ben Franklin's comment about how those who will give up freedoms for security deserve neither.

Please understand that I am not slamming you - just trying to nudge your mindset back into alignment because I have no doubt that most unconstitutional activities by "officials" rile you as bad as they do me, but like me, you can be fooled into buying into something that seems to make perfect sense until the right synapses make connection.

One more thing, it's your own government who is allowing/encouraging a never ending flood of Mid-easterners into the U.S. Not to mention tens of millions entering illegally from who knows where all aided and abetted government.

If there is a huge security breach anywhere, it's caused directly by your own government. And it's not accidental.
