I just bought an LG G3 over the Samsung. When I worked for T-Mobile (left them about four years ago) I would say in meetings that the smart phone is at the same level of sophistication as automobiles were in the 30’s.

But with these new phones, we’ve hit the 60’s. They still have a ways to go, but they are far superior to what I replaced - A galaxy S.

I’m an amateur photographer and have never respected phone cameras, mostly because of the lens. But my G3’s optical quality gives my 4/3 camera a real run for the money. And the photo modification software built in is truly incredible.

I don’t do Apple for a variety of reasons, but their stance on Indiana sealed the deal.

I finally cut the apple cord recently (in favor of Samsung) and have never been happier.

The sodomite in charge of Apple made the decision to switch easy for me.

No replaceable battery? This doesn’t make any sense to me. In my experience the battery is the first thing to wear out.

I just upgraded my 10-year old Samsung x497 flip phone - to a new Rugby. Works great and the battery lasts a week at least.

I’m currently rocking the Note 4, which is fabulous. Great screen, more than fast, removable battery/SD card, and a stylus for quick note taking. Hopefully Samsung didn’t change the formula in the years when it’s time to upgrade.

Samsung has taken direct aim at Apple’s smartphone, this time even seeming to copy some of the iPhone’s design and features.

THIS time???

I had 2 Samsung Galaxy S4 phones. The screen cracked on one and cost $215 to replace. The 2nd overheated. A known issue to Samsung. The motherboard was replaced under warranty.

I now own a LG G3 and it has zero problems and if the screen breaks I can replace it for about $110. Also the battery life is way better then the Samsung.

Apple’s stand on homo rights has pushed many non-apple people even farther away yet seems to have drawn many Apple fans even closer.

The I - Phone has not met its match.

Apple has a core customer base that views their products as exclusive and must have.

In much the same way I purchase Omega, Cartier,Ulysse Nardin and other watches for their Cache’.

Those watches they sell on HSN aren’t even close, even if they are supposedly automatic watches.

They ain’t even in the same category.

Next, Apple has what? A 25% share of the smart phone market while Android largely dominates the rest and Samsung is the largest installed candy bar, with 60% or more of that market.

However, Apple, with their puny 25% share dominates in one key area and it’s the only thing that matters in business.

MARGINS...

Apple, with its puny 25% market share, crushes the entire industry and is responsible for 80% of all profits in wireless devices and peripherals.

Samsung is losing so much money in wireless that the shareholders are becoming concerned and there is pressure to bail out of wireless.

I have owned Samsung for years and currently typing on a G5.

I will buy a G6 but, who knows if Samsung will be in the market for the next evolution.

Soooooo...when will MetroPCS pick up the Samsung Galaxy S6? They now have the S5 but it appears the S6 will be worth the wait. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long.

WOO! HOO! I just got my answer about MetroPCS from C/NET:

Both the Galaxy S6 and its curvy sibling will be available on all four major U.S. carriers and in retail locations like Best Buy, Amazon, Target, Walmart, Costco and Sam's Club. Regional carriers such as U.S. Cellular, Cricket, Boost Mobile and MetroPCS will also carry the Galaxy S6.
