Men have always enjoyed grey emancipation - the salt and pepper look is often deemed distinguished Clinton altered his hair color depending on his audience. Youthful for Gen-X, older and wiser for the baby boomers.

Grey hair dye is no different than blue or pink. “Going grey” implies a natural occurrence. These images are unnatural, even on the older folk.

I hardly think men have “enjoyed” gray hair emancipation.
It is considered vain for men to fuss with hair coloring like women do. Most real men have felt that way. Has nothing to do with “emancipation.
Most guys are just happy to have their hair as they age.

I love my natural grey. I have even grown it out to below my shoulders to show it off and I did so long before this fad started.

I think some men shave their heads as a "pre-emptive strike" against approaching baldness. When a man goes progressively bald, he appears the victim of bad genes, and hence weak, but if he shaves his head, he looks macho and tough.
Maybe women are doing the same thing - at the first appearance of gray, they just get it over with and go gray all the way, giving them control and a mature sexiness.

I’m old. I rock my long gray curly hair. I earned it, and my extra weight and my wrinkles. I am not here to decorate anyone’s world. I do not want to “attract” any man except my husband who loves me and honors our long marriage. He knows where every gray hair I have comes from and he loves me for it, and I love him.
I ignore all of you (corporate you) haters.

I found my first gray hair at 21, and was nearly fully gray by 40, just like my grandma and my dad. I couldn't wait until I was "old enough" to show it off.
2 years ago at 51, I figured it was time, so I stopped dying my hair. I've never had more positive compliments about my appearance in my life.
