8-foot-long carnivorous cat-eating lizards are invading Florida

Wildlife officials armed with shotguns will be increasing patrols of Palm Beach County canals from once a month to four to six times a month to try to hunt the reptiles down, according to the Sun Sentinel. The plan is to catch or shoot the lizards on sight — they've got 20 in Palm Beach since July.

needle snakes. They’ll wipe out the lizards.

type of gorilla that thrives on snake meat.
Lisa: But then we’re stuck with gorillas!
Skinner: No, that’s the beautiful part. When wintertime rolls around,
the gorillas simply freeze to death.

‘Lizards’ like this, alligators and crocks should all be killed-
wiped out. These sobs are good for nothing but destruction.

And shoes, belts, and suitcases. Other than that, I suppose
they're pretty useless. Some Cajuns eat them, though. ;-)

COYOTES are wiping out the animals in Palm beach county. Florida Wildlife commission won’t do anything about them. They have no predators and are increasing in population. We have seen them carrying cats. FWC must have some financial stake in the lizards because they could give 2 ***** about any animals being eaten...it’s about money. Hate them.

Horrible creature. I lived in SoFla for years, grew accustomed to alligators on the golf course and occasionally in your pool. But somehow these awful lizards seem much worse.

As for the Fla kitty, he lived in a screened-in back yard. The worst things there were tiny little lizards he liked to bring in the house and proudly droping them at my feet. Gee thanks.

These dragon-like lizards need to be rounded up and sent to Obama.
