Man shot himself in the foot to see what it felt like

There is a concrete reason why ‘shooting yourself in the foot’ is an idiom as this man found out.
Police have not revealed the 35-year-old’s name who was admitted to hospital last weekend in the Spanish town of Elda near Alicante.
However, it currently appears that he shot himself in the foot with a handgun to find out what it would feel like.

Authorities have not yet found the firearm which they believe he threw out of his car window on the way to hospital, according to i100.
Investigators have not ruled out sending him for psychological testing or charging him for firearm offences.

Reminds me of the guy who shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die. I have been to Folsom. I could never figure out why he shot a man in Reno (Nevada) and ended up at Folsom (California)
