Interesting. I did a show for Hennessy a while ago, and they own Belvedere (a Polish vodka). The don’t repeatedly distill because real vodka is supposed to have flavor. Dunno how similar it is to Woody Creek, I’m not a vodka fan at all but I’ll grab a bottle if I can find it here in Dallas!

Of course, it is illegal for free Americans to make any alcohol but...my stuff is purely for medicinal porpoises and lamp fuel.

I have a friend that makes it too. It takes about 8 years to make and it is the best tasting farm fuel I have ever had.

The BEST vodka out there tastes like friggin paint thinner!

Sir! Obviously you've never enjoyed paint thinner. It's gotta a staunch earthy, yet industrial aroma. The taste starts out with just a small bite and builds to a bloody gut fire. You immediately feel warm all over, followed by some soothing pre-death stomach cramps. You feel overwhelmed by an urge to continue to drink at a more rapid pace in an effort to finish the intoxicating misery.

You have to repeatedly distill to get the alcohol content high enough to be defined as Vodka.

Belvedere is distilled four times.

Now that’s just rong. Vodka made from apples? Pffft! REAL vodka is made from potatoes, and should have a hint of potato taste, if you want to make the very best vodka martinis.

If Vodka has any flavor other than that of alcohol, it has been added after it was distilled.

I “know somebody” who built a little one gallon still and spent about a year experimenting with early 20th century recipes to produce an old-fashioned stomach remedy called absinthe.

It’s 165 proof, naturally emerald green and has an amazing louche.

And... it goes great with ginger ale!
