Men behaving badly fits the stereotype the leftists love and use to bash men.
Everyone has flaws. I recognize that men can do dumb things and take senseless risks. But, if I were in a tight situation (of absolutely any kind at all), I would want to have men at my side rather than women, because women tend to choke at bad times. They panic and lose half their IQ points at just the wrong time. Men generally pull it together and get the job done.
But the media just loves to push the "men are so dumb" crap.
Blah, blah blah.
Men *are* different than women, which automatically means “inferior” according to a woman that believes her vagina has an intellect. A superior one at that.
I could rationally dissect this woman’s logic on multiple levels. But why bother? I have a penis. And, until that is removed, my brain just can’t function as it should.
I wonder if she changes, or even reverses her arguments when the conversation is about females joining the military, and all the other risk taking work and occupations and arguments about equality, when the equality argument has to be about being tough and brave and risk taking?
Lighten up, folks. She’s just being funny! True, you’d never get away with this if the sexes were reversed, but it’s still funny.
And be sure to check out her link to the mock serious MIT study!

The irony of her hair color, assuming the carpet matches the drapes, is astounding.
A corollary of that is that men like to take unnecessary risks far more than females. That is just a part of male nature.
But while, as Wente points out, many men do stupid things, many men also take risks that pay off for humanity. That humanity includes Margaret Wente who, if not for many males inventing stuff and taking huge risks to keep people like Wente free, would still be living in a mud hut somewhere and eating grubs to supplement her meager diet.
Nothing like a stereotypical whining, bitching woman telling men that they’re not feminine enough.
Pure genius.
Would like to point out that much of this type of behavior used to be suppressed by the pressure to be a gentleman.
Feminists and others spent decades destroying the power of that ideal. Now they don’t like the result.
For the record, it would appear that Margaret Wente is practically one of us. Oh, maybe not quite as right-wing as me, but hardly a hyperventilating feminist.
Here’s a column that she wrote last year, and it appears from Google that she has taken a good bit of hell over this article...
“Can she consent to sex after drinking?”
“...The manufacture of rape culture is a triumph of ideology over substance. It has inflated a serious but uncommon threat into a crime wave. It infantilizes women, strips them of their agency and treats them like Victorian damsels in distress. As for those armies of would-be rapists lurking in every shadow theyre your sons, your grandsons, your nephews and your brothers. I used to think the war on men was an exaggeration. I dont think so any more.”

Once I was at a state primitive campground and saw four young women trying to put up a large tent, in the dark, with little success.
I went over and even though I had never seen a tent like this, put it up by telling them what to do and when as I placed the frame where it needed to be.
They barely said thanks, as if I was obligated to help them and heard them say among themselves how hard it was for 'them' to have put it up.......:^(
The number of idiots is just about equally dispersed
among the genders. Males tend to be less inhibited
when it comes to demonstrating their prowess at the
art of idiocy. Just my observation.
“Yet they persist. Im always astonished when my friends in corporate life regale me with tales of bad conduct in high places, whether its obviously inappropriate sexual relationships or flagrant padding of expense accounts. The miscreants are almost invariably men.”
Horse puckey! Embezzlement is nearly always women.
“This fundamental difference between the sexes will never be eradicated no matter how hard we try. (Although try we must.)”
There’s yer problem right there!
