Every little girl loves playing dress-up and enjoys giving makeovers. Normally the person getting the make-over is usually the mother, an aunt, or a dollbut in this case the one getting a make-over is the dog.
We all know that doberman are usually potentially dangerous and vicious dogs. But this very tough-looking doberman is such a doll. He enjoys getting his nails done by an adorable little girl.
You can see him sitting patiently as the girl paints all the nails of his front paws in different colors. This video shows the lesser-known, softer side of the breed, and just how much this dog loves the little girl. Its probably one of the most adorable things youll ever see.
It's a page from an "educational" website.
We laughed about it for days.
“and we dont even have to quibble about pit bulls.”
except for having now owned four pit bull mixes from puppy to adulthood and ultimately old age, I would have to say that it’s unwise to universally disparage any breed of dog and not treat them as individuals.
Do they have the potential for harm? Yes, as do many many other dogs. Did any of my dogs ever cause any harm? Not a single one of them. They were sweet, loyal, and put up with a ton of being bossed around by smaller female terriers who thought they were the leader of the pack and also thought they were about fifteen feet tall.
Long-suffering sweet wonderful dogs, every last one of them.
Pestering a dog... what does the dog do?
I get so pissed at one particular brat child who pesters my dogs at the fence. The brat is actually away from the fence off my property but he still throwing his hands in the air and barking like a dog. Drives my dogs crazy.
I have spoke to his parents.
What happens when the dog manages to hop the fence or get out some way? The kid gets bit and my dog is the bad guy that has to be taken away and I get sued.
That is weird because I have no children, so it's not as if they were raised around them.
But every one of them is obsessed with kids and will do goofy things just to get the kids close to them and laughing.
Odin is the worst.
When he sees a kid, he does his entire repertoire of tricks, totally on his own, just to get them to come pet him.
It's crazy.
OTOH, "The Doberman Gang" (trailer) was just plain fun.
Bless your heart!
Only someone who does not know Doberman's would make that erroneous statement
Any dog brought up with good training is an obedient, loyal and good companion.
Motion activated water sprinkler aimed towards the fence?
Personally, I would video record them doing it and give the local PD a copy ahead of time, just in case.
It could save your dogs.
I had an issue with the neighbors’ kids running right up to my wire fence, despite them having much more room to play, closer to their house so I put up a solid wood privacy fence.
End of problem.

See post #21 for a good laugh.
Anyone who watched more than 15 minutes of that movie knew the dog was not only *not* guilty, it had tried to save his owner after she’d been murdered and thrown into the ocean.
The dog also helped solve the case by reacting to the real killer.
Am I the only person who even watched it?
The Doberman Gang trilogy was great.
The first two were better than the last one, which starred Fred Astaire as their new owner and relegated them to being circus dogs.
Hah!
That baby has it’s own personal terminator.
Reminds me of that scene in Terminator 2 when Arnold stands watch at the gas station window all night long.
The Doberman will not slack or rest or be distracted from guard duty for any reason! (It also probably has a 120 year lifespan provided by nuclear cell with emergency battery backup :D)
The best scene is when the dog is snarling at Garner, until he realizes it’s a trick..
I'm really not blaming the dog since it was high strung to begin with due to my ex-friend's treatment of her. His method of obedience training was a beat down......pathetic.
He eventually got his just dues.........
My dobie saved my mom from an attacker.
He simply saw the guy coming and got up and sat at her feet, and stared at him. He turned around 180 degrees and headed off back into the woods.
She was alone at the tie on a huge campsite, and the dog was sleeping out of sight. I was about a mile away. The would-be attacker called out “are you back here by yourself?” as he approached.
That dog had great instincts.
Doberman’s are also one of the most intelligent breeds in the world today. They are extremely low maintenance. Anybody who thinks they are dangerous has never owned of been around them. They are great dogs. For some reason they got a bad rap in the 1970’s. My daughter ones one. It is the most gentle dog I have ever been around.
The Dobes, Laurel and Hardy, were trained to attack when they heard the word "Rosebud".
