Yes. I want to know what men want to do in their spare time... where to find them...especially if conservative.
If the boat on the bottom is the same boat as on the top, you win.
I’m looking forward to getting offshore again SOON.
If you don’t see me here....
Nothing more manly than hockey!
Yes, welded steel. Here are some pictures of the construction.

Rally racing. Booyah. The Baja 500 and 1000 are on my Bucket List.
Gardening (food) If you don’t know how to grow your own food and hunt for your own food (and you don’t get to choose just one, you must do both) then you are doing it wrong.
They are on their additional list along with historical reenactments and vinyl.

I did spend time alone in the Mountains cutting trees, and firewood, I cooked over a fire that would be covered with snow most mornings, lived on instant coffee and pinto beans, and when the wood truck would come every two weeks, I would go to town to bath, and wash my one set of clothes, buy some beans, and coffee, and treat myself to a few days worth of bacon since I had no refrigeration, and start all over again.
At night I would sharpen my extra chains for both chainsaws, and read great books by a Coleman gas lantern, while sitting in a sleeping bag.
It was a nice life for that period.
You’re a lumberjack and you’re OK...
I’m sure the nylons were required to prevent guys in rough wool pants from standing around and scratching their nads all day.
There is nothing like the feeling od several hundred horsepower slamming you in the back as 3 FEET of wheel travel crab, lose and grab traction for a few hundred miles.
I have raced snowmobiles in my youth and dragged cars later. But the experience of racing off road is like nothing else. Either driving or riding shotgun in a high level truck or buggy (done both), it is an incredible experience. Most of the time you are relying on ‘the force’ because control on dirt at over 100 MPH through couple foot deep ruts is an illusion.
I can tell you where they are not. My husband took me out to dinner at a downtown sushi bar/Korean restaurant the other night and most of the patrons were women alone or women with a friend. This was also the case with a hip Mexico City style restaurant on the next street.
I wish you the best with your search. I would take notes from this post. These places of practice are where the real men are.

ROFL! I just came from reading a Bruce Jenner thread and then I read that, oh man, cracked me up!
It has a certain beauty. Peaceful really.
It sure is, and it’s still floating and sailing after 20 years. I built it because I couldn’t afford one any other way, but today, I’d just buy a used fiberglass boat and go.

“Get yourself a 30-footer and go!”
I recall reading PJ O’Rourke’s article on riding shotgun on the Baja 1000. He detailed the exhilaration of the drive as well as the frustration of having to repair a drive shaft in the middle of the night.
