Justice Kennedy either does not believe in God, or is unaware of the fact that God burned two cities to death by fire as a consequence of Homosexuality.

So anyone who doesn't believe in the everything in the Bible is 100% literally true, cannot believe in God? Nonsense. What you call "fact" is a belief based on faith, not any actual evidence. That's fine, but it means nothing to anyone who doesn't share your faith, whether they believe in God or not.

The bible is 100% truth, not necessarily 100% factual or literal. One must understand the vast amount of literary forms the bible contains. The Story of creation - myth full of symbolism; Abraham - legend; Acts - historical; (plus parables, lamentations, etc.). It is also built predominantly on oral histories.

One has to work hard to get to God’s truth (sometimes) - but is in there and is inviolate.

Whether or not the history recorded in the Bible is true or not is irrelevant to the fact that it is a belief in the religion of the bible which is the underpinning foundation of this country.

It is on the strength of religion that people find the will power to follow the commandments and other teachings. Without a belief in the Divine powers, no one would feel compelled to follow the other teachings.

Without the people voluntarily following the commandments and teachings in the bible, civilization would never have advanced beyond the Roman stage.

Some naturally occurring ideas are simply incompatible with higher levels of civilization.

I am thinking that if you had read and understood my point in the post at the top of this thread, you would realize that the consequences do not need a supernatural factor to manifest themselves.

Indeed, they will manifest themselves because Justice Kennedy has taken another step towards removing the supernatural factor.

That supernatural factor is a necessary component of our existing system, and without it we shall revert back to an older barbaric societal organization.

Nonsense. What you call "fact" is a belief based on faith, not any actual evidence.

Consider all the abstract, universal and unchanging metaphysical concepts that you yourself presuppose that are based on faith, not events (or 'facts') or anything else in your finite observation or experience. For example, you believe that there is sense, and it's opposite, nonsense. You have faith that there exists things such as 'evidence", and "meaning", etc., all of which presuppose things such as truth, and universal, unchanging laws of logic, which existed before you were here and will exist after you are gone.

What is your actual evidence for these beliefs?

It probably was not your intent but you have demonstrated that faith is itself the evidence of things unseen, so it doesn't make much sense for you to try to make it diametrically opposed to evidence.

Cordially,
