Conservative Tribune: As commander-in-chief, Barack Obama, through the Pentagon, has ordered U.S. troops to obey Shariah law.
Specifically, all U.S. military personnel in Muslim nations were put on notice to “be familiar with host-nation customs and courtesies to help facilitate a long-lasting mutual respect with local communities. U.S. military members serving in countries that observe Ramadan are required to adhere to certain practices while outside U.S. installations.”
The post also included a picture that read “Respect Ramadan.”
Capt. Dan Sickles, host nation officer-in-charge, told military personnel, “Members should be respectful of local customs and be patient with host nation personnel. Ramadan is a countrywide religious celebration. Members should not make light of local customs and should also expect that during daylight hours host nation customer service will be abbreviated and less accommodating.

But he put the two votes on the court that want to force Americans to ignore God's laws.

Sorry government cannot force people to do anything. If they won’t allow it they damn well can’t force it.

Well, as much as I despise Obama and basically everything he’s done, I have to say this time it’s common sense, for once. When in Rome...as someone else already said.
This is prudent behavior wherever you go, whether in the military or not. Any time you go to a foreign country it’s a good idea to brush up on their customs and at least the basics of their laws, and try not to offend the local population.
For example, if local custom is to remove your shoes before entering a house, as in some oriental countries, most people don’t see any reason to object. So if you are in a country during their biggest religious celebration, try to make yourself aware of their customs and either stay in your hotel room or try to avoid offending the locals.
What our military does on base is another story, but when they leave the base and go into the public, they should be respectful of local customs, whether they agree with those customs or not. That has nothing to do with obeying Sharia law, simply respect the customs of the country you happen to be in. Don’t give them even more reason to hate Americans...
I’ve known people who worked in foreign countries, completely apart from military, who have to do the same. If your job takes you to a country where alcohol is strictly forbidden, prepare to stay sober. You’ll not only offend the locals, you’ll wind up in jail. Most foreign jails are not comfortable...

This is a non issue. If you are in any country you respect their practices.
