4 year olds don’t make decisions. 4 year olds have impulses.
It is a fad for trend conscious families. I am sure some parents are trying to convince their children that they should be the other sex.
In saner times the parents would be given a good beating and the kids removed

It is child abuse. If the toddler “decided” that he wanted to start drinking booze or using drugs, would they support that? Or if he decided that he wanted to transition from a male to a horse, would they support that and feed him oats?
When Christians get asked “Why can’t you just go along with .... (gay marriage, teen sex, gambling, etc)” THIS IS WHY. It is the tolerance and accommodation of sin that leads to depravity and immorality taking over society. Christians are called to war against sin and fight the sins within AND without.
How do you think transgendered persons came to be gender-confused and desirous of sex reassignment surgery? Up til now, the story of how this came about was not a national news story. Up til now, the news story wasn’t permeated with advocacy presented as feigned curiosity. In saner times, the parents would be jailed as child-abusing perverts.

Oh please. Lesbian mothers, older sister. Kid is surrounded by females. Moms are probably into the whole “you don’t need a daddy, two mommies are great” not understanding that the message takes a toll on the little boy, who now wants to relate to mom by also being a girl.
... but if you paddle your kids’ heinie for acting like a brat, you go to JAIL and have your kids taken away from you...

And the institution he worked for stopped doing the surgery because follow up on those 10-30 years after surgery found they still committed suicide or tried to do so ten times the rate of the general population, because their underlying mental problems weren’t treated.
These parents are mutilating a child who statistically would correct itself.
And dooming the child to a lifetime of mental health problems, because it is either untreated for the true problems or mutilated and unable to live like that.
