Wisconsin, Madison and Milwaukee in particular, have been bastions of ultra-liberal, union backing Democrats for years....my family was among them...Dad was a teamster, mom worked for a company assembling ejection seats for the military
Both were firm union backers and as such, couldn't see the forest for the trees.
Scott Walker has done more in favor of Wisconsonites than did the last 5 Demo governors.
When peopple wake up and realize that you cannon expect to live on money that you FORCE others to donate to you...all will be well.
No-one begrudges those who legitimatlely can't....but those who don't support themselves because they expect you to do so are getting far too numerous.
The folks that I stay in contact with are Conservatives who voted for Walker. They have been upset by the poor ranking of Wisconsin on business startups, job creation and the WEDC debacle. The last time I heard from them, they were furious over the attempt to real the Open Records laws.
That would trouble me, too. I lived in Arkansas when Slick Willie pulled that one.
