Firefighters Save Donkey From Wildfire And Now He Won't Leave Their Side

When firefighters battling a 7,000 acre wildfire in Arizona spotted a donkey emerging from the flames, they cooled off his singed body with their hose. Now, they can't get rid of him.

It was unknown whether the donkey was tame or wild, but after the rescue, she followed her heroes around all day — refusing to leave their side.

Thankfully, after being pried away from his new friends, George the donkey was reunited with his owners.

Meet George! When I was getting ready to leave Needles on Tuesday, a woman who I gave a card to earlier called me and told me that the donkey that was in the Desert Hills Fire photo , was found and on the way back to its pen, along with 2 horses and another donkey. All owned by John White. He found them down the street, they followed him home to their pen. I ran over there to meet the animals! They were so "domesticated", they came up to me, George put his head on my arm for me to pet him! Safe and sound from the Willow Fire.

Donkeys are cool.
Coyotes fear them and rightfully so..donkeys will kill them.
Many stables in coyote areas keep a donkey or two on the premises. Coyotes will give the stable that has a donkey a very wide berth!
