Take a look at AquaRain water filters,expensive but very effective.The ceramic filters they use get everything down to about 1 micron.
Yup. The number one cause of death is birth. It has a 100% mortality rate.
Everyone who has exercised regularly, eaten a fibrous balanced diet, and refrained from the physical vices has died or will within decades.
The rest of us may die sooner, but personally I’ll take quality over quantity. Living long after SHTF is not on my to do list; if it happens, it happens.
Best I can hope for is to sell my life dearly if called upon to do it.
Thanks. We have a book that gives examples of edible plants in our environment, but I think that we also need a book that will give us examples of plants that have medicinal properties. Heaven only knows what the future has in store for us.
Bleach or peroxide good if you shelter in place, iodine better if you have to move - or anything in drops

Every time you refill a prescription take 3 days worth out and stash it. Add to it with your monthly refills. Before you know it you’ll have 3-4 months worth.

( cipro lasts indefinitely kept refrigerated as does a MRSA cream. My doctor has given me scripts for both. Still, roll the dice)
