DEMOCRAT DEBATE SNOOZEFEST

The Democrat Debate in a Nutshell....

Old frail white folks..trying to outdo each others Socialist street cred, who claim they will make the rich pay when in fact the rich will move or hide their money and the middleclass, like always will get stuck with their big government bill.....

Compare that to the GOP Rainbow of youth and diversity the visual is striking....

memes to start: Why would (insert your ethnicity here)trust a bunch of old rich frail white folks to handle the big issues that face the USA?

Hillary “won” the same way Nixon “won” in 1960. But the lesser-known challenger (in this case Sanders) gained the most. It’s now a two-way contest, or three-way if Biden gets in. But Sanders’ good showing might keep Plugs out.

Why doesn’t the Republican party ever get any credit for diversity?

There are many prominent minorities and women in the Republican party:

Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina
Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina
Senator Rubio of Florida
Senator Cruz of Texas
Former congressman Allan West of Florida
Congresswoman Mia Love of Utah
Governor Susana Martinez of New Mexico
Governor Mary Fallin(sp?) of Oklahoma

There are others; this is just off the top of my head.

The point being, the liberals charge that the GOP is racist and is the party of older white men. The liberals charge that due to racism/sexism/various phobias, that any woman or minority needs to find their political home in the Democrat party. But that is demonstrably false, as we see above. There are numerous people of color and women in the GOP.

Because....it’s not about diversity, it’s about liberalism.

I didn’t watch but it must have been really bad, there is very little commentary about it relative to republican debates, probably after today we will not hear much more about it, the news and commentary on the republican debates went on non stop for weeks, winners and losers all over the media, but with the dems you will not hear much more because they are all losers, so the media will be lite so as to not reveal the lousy performance of every candidate.

No wonder DWS wanted as few debates as possible lest their obvious agenda be exposed to the low info voters.

You’re right. I was monitoring both Hugh Hewitt’s and Donald Trump’s Twitter postings during the debate and you can tell the debate was turning into a substitute for a melatonin (or a good prescription sleeping pill).

I sat today and watched about forty minutes of the debate, and then went over to watch ten minutes of Hannity’s evaluation from Fox News.

Overall, it was comical in some ways because Bernie didn’t really come across as fired-up (something that I had seen for several weeks with his campaign). Bernie actually was a big huggable kind of guy and was actually very kind and nice to Hillary. I didn’t get the impression that he really wanted the job....this was just a theater-moment with him.

The Lincoln guy? He reminded me of a college professor who had smoked a bit too much weed and could not deliver.

This Maryland governor guy? Fraudulent candidate and just unable to charm me.

So, yeah....Hillary won the episode with a marginal two-star performance. I think Trump or Cruz would have destroyed her in a debate. Carson might act kind and nice toward her because of his professionalism. But she marginally carried herself and I even felt sorry for her having to do this....she should be sitting in some retirement situation and just writing books like Jimmy Carter.

For Democrats...if this is the cream of the crop...well, you need eight years to clear out this crowd and hustle up some fresh new blood at the national level.

Best description I heard was this:

It was one vagina surrounded by four boobs.

I knew the fix was in when Bernie actually stuck up for Hillary in regards to her email scandal.....unbelievable.

Correct. That's why the Democratic Party is far more interested in the either Julian or Joaquin Castro from Texas or even Gavin Newsom from California for their future leaders.

For purposes of office discussion and “train wreck rubbernecking”, could someone point me to the part where Sanders explains how he intends to pay for his schemes, considering gov’t is already spending far more than revenue? All I could find in the transcript was vagueness about breaking up big banks somehow resulting in more to confiscate.

My thought also. I just watched part the debate - it was too boring and blatantly geared to make Hillary look good. I am wondering if Bernie really wants to win. From what I saw, I thought Webb did best.

Bernie probably sees the handwriting on the wall and is just laying the ground work for a position in her admin. in case she actually wins.

What I found was striking was that differences in the questions between the Republican debates and the Democratic debates thrown at the candidates by the "moderators."

In the Republican debate, the snarky moderators would ask a question of this format: "Candidate A, Candidate B said that you were a idiotic, stupid quisling on this issue. What do you have to say to Candidate A in response to that accusation?" or "Candidate A, Candidate D, has commented that Candidate B is a waste of air and calories that should never have been born, and is really not serious as a candidate for president. Do you agree with Candidate D about Candidate B's intentions and being a waste of Air and calories?" The "moderators" were trying desperately to foment a internecine food fight.

In the Democratic debate, the questions were never of that type and were at least designed to elicit their platform. . . as insane as that platform is. The questions were never personal or designed to get the candidates to attack each other. They were about issues near and dear to Democrats.

The questions to the Republicans were obviously intended to make the Republican candidates look juvenile and shallow. The questioning to the Democrats were intended to show the Democratic candidates as adults and serious, a contrast to the Republican Candidates. It was a deliberate plan by the media.

The young people supporting Bernie may sit out the election if he’s not nominated. They are radicals, stupid and mean, (think occupy wall street) generally speaking.

Blacks have not been crazy about Hillary in the past. She has some racist luggage in her history that the GOP won’t bring up. Also, I think Bill hired few Blacks and as I recall, they killed one of them who knew too much.

Tax the rich 90 percent tax on all new income, wall street transaction tax, closed loopholes, higher gas tax, more Obamacare taxes, higher corporate taxes, and maybe a VAT too who knows when you need to spend an additional trillion or two every year to keep promising to take from the producers and hand it out to the non-producers taxes are the easiest and by the way SCOTUS approved way to make that happen.... Greece here we come...
