Trump didn’t need to remind everyone that the WTC came down during Bush’s term. Who out there didn’t already know that? Everyone already assumed Jeb was referring to Bush keeping the homeland safe AFTER that event. Trump’s just trading in pointless “nyah nyah” schoolyard barbs here.
It implies it was is fault. In fact we all know the security lapses during the 90’s is what led to 9/11. Not on someone who became President just 8 months preceding. Don’t be such a chump.

A lot of people saw it coming. We had warnings about that kind of thing all through the Clinton Presidency. There were books out there that described the very thing that happened years before it did.
Bush was complacent about terrorism and his reaction was to go out of his way not to piss off Muslims. He even turned Iraq from a secular dictatorship into an Islamic Republic.
Al Qaeda had already tried to blow up the World Trade Center once. The way Heb phrases it, it’s as if no one had ever heard of them before 9/11.

It’s not a lie. Everyone knows he meant G. W. Bush kept the homeland safe AFTER 9/11. You seriously think Jeb was expecting everybody just forgot 9/11 ever happened? You’re not living in reality.
It’s a self-inflicted wound. Expect more of this as he Perots his way out of the election.

I just imagine in the circumstances following 911, a President Trump would have called up those fat f__k’s in SA with a short message: “if we see anything remotely resembling this again, and we won’t be calling, we will be bombing you flat!” What W did was a business rather than a policy decision. Bombing those turds would have screwed up the “oil bidnus” on which he and his family were making their real living.

There are only so many toes he has to lose before he finally falls flat on his face.

Trump is right. When a terrorist attack kills 3000 Americans on your watch, you have to take some of the blame. Bush dropped the ball. There were all kinds of warnings, but everyone just ignored them.
Bush may have limited terrorist attacks here, but there were also attacks in Britain and Spain after 9/11.
Perhaps the terrorists figured that another 9/11 would be counter-productive anyway, so they didn’t even try.

As I recall it, Bush decided to take down Saddam Hussein (a righteous task) when asked if the dictator would give weapons of mass destruction to terrorists.
Of course he would.
And since he had already used them, we knew he had them.
To bring up as sensitive an issue as 9/11 now, after it’s been examined and reexamined countless times, in a longshot bid to try to gain some extra political advantage against Jeb that he doesn’t even need at this point, is extremely clumsy, thoughtless and self-destructive.
The last person we ever heard blaming G.W. for 9/11 was Michael Moore. Is that the specter Trump wants to evoke in his campaign?
Let us not forget that it was Bush that refused to allow TSA to do any profiling, so as a result we have little old ladies and children who are stripped searched while Muslim men chanting Death to America are let through the line without so much as a pat down.
