“...flush the handle.”

Perhaps the ultimate Death Spiral.

So who will the GOPe anoint to take Jeb’s place? They have to find another phony conservative to force upon us.

Pretty sure they've already started moving their support apparatus to their backup quarterback - Rubio.

He's going to fail, too, as he's inextricably linked to the Gang of 8 Amnesty fiasco. Rubio stabbed us in the back, just as soon as he got to Washington, and the voters know it.

Even more important, he doesn’t want his family’s ties to the Clinton’s disclosed and is very fearful of information regarding his ties to Lehman Brothers and their sale of nearly a billion dollars worth of worthless mortgage backed securities to FL while he was governor, shortly after which he got a $1,000,000 per yr. Job from Lehman.

Biden’s decision to not run left an opening for Jeb to launch a direct challenge to Hillary as a democrat.

looks like one of the offices Gov Abbott could eliminate if he had the guts to do so.

"The Executive Department of the State shall consist of a Governor, who shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the State, a Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Comptroller of Public Accounts, Commissioner of the General Land Office, and Attorney General." - Texas Constitution Article 4, Section 1.

Abbott doesn't have the authority to get rid of the office. The proper way to get rid of Jorge Pendejo Arbusto's office is to amend the Texas Constitution.

However, be careful what you wish for...

The Texas Attorney General is currently under indictment for alleged securities fraud. If he leaves office, my hunch is Pendejo will be pushed to become the next Texas AG.

Again, who ever thought Jeb was worth considering? What kind of nitwits think like this?

The kind of nitwits with mega millions of dollars at their disposal, but who are utterly untethered and hard-insulated from reality.

Any fool could have told the Bushes and the GOP that the American people will NOT elect another Bush in our lifetimes. Instead, they threw away $100,000,000 dollars on a fool's errand.

Every time I read something about Jeb’s position on an issue, I kept thinking, he must not want to win. You would think even a RINO would occasionally adopt a conservative stance, but not him. He is so far out of touch with the voters.

And a number of conservatives will never forgive him for not preventing Terry Schiavo’s death. I think even if Jeb had not acted like a Democrat on every issue, that incident would have dogged him. People did not forget.

I still cannot believe we nominated McCain.

Crossover Democrat voters in GOP open primaries and special GOPe delegates selected McCain.

It is my opinion that the John McCain nomination was the beginning of a terrible spiral for conservatives. I don’t think he intended to win. I think he chose Palin to set her — and conservatism up — and I think we have still not recovered.

We did not circle wagons during the primary, and they found successful ways to play conservatives against each other.

Pick any of the conservatives (and 2 of the liberals) from that field, and this nation would have been spared the torment of the Obama years. That conservative would have fought to win. McCain didn’t struggle at all. Except against his own base.

Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson, Alan Keyes, Tom Tancredo, even Huckabee or Giuliani would have kept the conservatives together around a conservative theme. (And Huck and Rudy would not have attacked them.)

I’m out on a limb here, but even RON PAUL would have been better than John McCain.

We must unite. And I do NOT know if Trump will totally follow through, but I do NOT believe he will attack conservatives. That is not true of Bush, Christie, Kasich, and maybe Rubio & Fiorini. The first three clearly want to make liberal republicanism the only position within the party.

I'm disgusted with the Bush family.

Barbara makes disparaging comments about Sarah Palin ("She should stay in Alaska").

GWB talks trash about Ted Cruz.

Then we have one of the most uninspiring and pathetic candidates in political history thrust upon us with a $130 million bankroll and GOPe machinery behind him.

It's a great thing we have Donald Trump as otherwise we would be on our way to another crushing defeat in 2016.

I've had enough of the Bush family. They need to go away.

Probably lots left in his Super-pacs but that can’t be used for campaign staff.

Do you realize that Mike Murphy and his professional mercenaries are just there to make money off of your family’s ability to raise money? Sucker.

this is an excellent point.
