Age Problems (real life problems with student/sibling/parent)

First one to get it right wins an all-expense-paid trip to downtown Detroit, plus a coupon for two free Big Macs, two portions of fries and two medium Cokes.

That is correct for the first part of the question! Unfortunately, you failed to answer the second part in the allowable time, and so are not eligible for the free trip to lovely downtown Detroit, or, for that matter, the free meal at McDonald’s.

There is no way the US can have excellence in educational results with the population mix, 72% of black children born to single women, and socialist heavy educators. We do not pursue excellence, we seek mediocrity as a goal - and we can’t even reach it. IMO.

Here’s the happy news from Detroit:

(CNSNews.com) - In the Detroit public school district, 96 percent of eighth graders are not proficient in mathematics and 93 percent are not proficient in reading.

That is according to the results of the 2015 National Assessment of Educational Progress tests published by the Department of Education’s National Center for Educational Statistics.

Only 4 percent of Detroit public school eighth graders are proficient or better in math and only 7 percent in reading. This is despite the fact that in the 2011-2012 school year—the latest for which the Department of Education has reported the financial data—the Detroit public schools had “total expenditures” of $18,361 per student and “current expenditures” of $13,330 per student

Yeah, but the American ...ah...”students” FEEL that they’re right up there with the best! And that’s the most important thing, right?

Under Common Core the question would be:

“What is a reasonable placement for an ‘x’? Be sure to defend your answer with cogent arguments about why one side of the triangle should own the privilege of hosting the ‘x’, thereby depriving the other two sides of their rightful opportunity to do the same. Ensure all socially pertinent sub-topical elements are included.”

The 3 sides of the triangle are not equal in length. Do you (the student) think this is fair?

“It is well known the scalene triangle is a Republican-inspired act of blatant inequality. Explain how this can be mitigated to better reflect emerging minorities in America.”
