The point in highlighting the imagery was to demonstrate just how futile the EU’s effort to establish a series of refugee “holding camps” along the Balkan route to Germany is likely to be.

Oh, and I might add that the solution is probably about the same...and that Europe is like the townies who are paralyzed with fear about even the need to protect themselves, let alone actually do it. The difference is that there is no group ready to protect Europe, unlike the town in TWD. Vlad Tepes - err, umm, uh - Putin is busy with his own zombies and is too far away to help the Eurotownies.

It is very likely that Eastern Europe will survive what is come simple because of the prolong Iron Curtain Russian occupation of those countries. It made them tough and more resilient than their rich neighbors.

How ironic would that be if in the end the former Eastern Block countries owe their survival to Joseph Stalin?

I'd love to zero in on those shots and see how many of these "refugees" are young men. I did get a copy of one of the shots that Tyler posted yesterday. It's absolutely typical, in that the photographer or the picture editor emphasizes a cute young girl, but if you look closer, all but possibly one or two in that mob appear to be--young men.

It's an invasion, all right.

I'm betting that there is, and that it has gotten a BIG boost these last few weeks.

Also, since higher prices beget more supply, I'm betting that a lot of "interesting" WW2 "memorabilia" is coming out of storage and getting oiled up. Damn, I'd love to get ahold of some of those pieces, they must be in pretty good condition - esp. the French ones - never fired, and only dropped once. :>)

The fact is that our governments are basically pyramid scams that require ever-growing populations, and since Europeans and Americans won’t breed enough to even reproduce themselves this mass trafficking is inevitable. We have the same thing happening here, but it is happening on the southern border, in our airports, and via the legal immigration/H1-Bs.

Don’t assume our government hasn’t been doing the same to us for decades now.
