He’s older than Jane. They have a big property over the line in South Carolina, including a water mill. We’ll have to go out there again after the summer camp season!

Miss Jane usually brings two or three other old ladies from the wilds of South Carolina up to “town” (Monroe) when she comes to Weight Watchers. She’s an amazing example of Tough Old Country People.

Wow. Pioneers aren’t the only tough folks!

I really like to hear about people like that! It’s good to know there are still some folks who believe in hard work and sharing their bounty. (And I’ve experienced some of that, myself!) ;o]

I’m getting tired, so I hope the laptop comes soon. I don’t know why, but I’ve been very tired the last several weeks. Weird.

**

Maintenance just came and installed a hand-held shower for me, and because of the handle, I don’t have to water the back wall of the shower to get the nozzle high enough to wash my hair. I had to give up my shower caddy, but I’ll see if I can find one online that fits in the corner.

Yep..

We run out of WhateverBrandIsOnSaleThisWeek Kleenex® clones often.

Mostly because Son#2 does not feel adequately clothed until he has stuffed the equivalent of half a box into his BDU pockets.

Daily.

And then does not retrieve them when he tosses the BDU things in the laundry.

Which causes subsequent uses of the laundrymachine to deposit white stuff all over the contents.

Which is usually my black BDU's..

Miss Jane and “he” have owned the place since the 1970s. It’s really cool. They have some children and grandchildren around, and they’re pillars of the community. You meet the most amazing people at Weight Watchers ;-).

Speaking of meeting people, the guy who changed my tire in the gym parking lot had been a professional wrestler for 15 years. Bush-leagues, I guess, but he said he used to go to Florida to film tv programs. He said he was glad he knew how to fix cars, when he decided the pounding on his body was too much.

Our children throw the Great Value Facial Tissues on the floor, and then Jake shreds them.

Since the late Igor spent almost two years in Saudi Arabia, teaching the Royal Saudi Air Force, there isn’t an awful lot about the Saudi/Muslim customs that he didn’t write home about, including what would happen to his body in the event he died over there. TMI.

Some things, I just never forgot.

I have tissue boxes in every room except the bathroom, and that room has a tiny dispenser for the “pocket-pack” of tissues, compliments of Avon, many, many years ago.

But I have to have them because of the allergies.

I really need kittens.

On a litghtef side, cousins from Alabama are visiting this weekend, they are bringing me boxes of grits! Real grits! Yay! I can only buy the five minute instant stuff here.

The used nosewipingthings don’t as a matter of course get deposited on the floor (unless by a grandkid.) We do however have an assortment of catcritters who access the various receptacles and liberate stuff, the favorite of which is a tissue or multiples of same. So they can play with it on the floor. And shred it to pieces.

Because we have nothing of import on our schedule other than vacuuming up after cat(s).

I had no idea you liked grits, or I could have sent you some a long time ago! :o] They are quite common here, so I buy them periodically, as they are good for a change.

Lucky me, Medicare won’t pay for a colonoscopy, so I won’t be having one, any time soon. I had one 40+ years ago, and it wasn’t pleasant. They have changed a lot since then. The entire procedure is different.

I hope the doctors are able to fix anything that is messing with your body. Sometimes, I really hate going to the doctor. I will keep you in my prayers.

So many floofs, so little time to hug! Those are all some pretty Squee kittehs. It’s going to be 92 today, but I have to be out in it, for a while, and I’m not happy about that. But I have no choice.

I had to call RAC and tell them I was going to bed and that I would pick up the loaner in the morning. Ungh. Right now, I’m going to concentrate on a shower and then take the rest of the day as it comes.

One thing I’m going to do for sure is go to Smith’s and get some quarters, otherwise, I can’t do laundry on Monday.

I had jotted down all my favorites on the back of a piece of paper that said a check had bounced, and I couldn’t figure out why, as it had the authorization number on it. Yesterday, the woman came to give me the returned check and it was only then that I realized I had transposed the check number. (The shame of CFIDS) So I called AmEx and got them to reverse the funds, and wrote her a new check, including the fee they charged her. And then I promptly shredded the paper. With the Favorites list on the back.

THAT was a true Face Palm Moment. :o[

Oh, dear. Not the best way to start the day!

I talked to my mother this morning. She said they went to Universal yesterday and had a great time. Today they’re staying home to rest.

I'm tempted to do that myself. But at least my foot isn't hurting still.
