I think I’ll put a big, prominent FAA number plastered all over which is the WRONG number!!! Maybe the one that CNN uses on their debate coverage drone.
After all, I’m sure the real terrorists will comply to the letter and cross all the Ts and dot all the Is or is that ISIS?

Could you imagine if they implemented this via N-Number and people were stuck with CHANGING the N-Number on 10,000 hour scale planes? Lol

See #32: perfectly legal to put the ID on it where it cannot be seen (suggested inside the battery compartment). Ergo, lack of immediately visible identification is legal until FAA has physical possession of the drone - eliminating most of the justification for having an ID on the device in the first place, leaving the only use of registration being after accident/crime where the drone has been acquired by authorities, or some actionable use identified AND the operator located.

I have already decided to post the FAA registration number in encrypted binary in a hidden data area of the flight controller firmware. It will be 100% compliant with requirements for visibility and legibility if you know where to look and have the decryption key or access to NSA resources.
Where there is room I already display my old plane’s N-Number on model fuselages.

They'll have to have huge infrastructure to actually collect on those 5-6 digit judgments, the few they actually CAN collect on. And the cost of capturing, adjudicating, and imprisoning thousands of people whose only offense is to possess an unregistered "toy" is overly burdensome, not to mention the cost of putting that many people out of work and unlikely to be employable because of criminal records.
Only when the people retake control of THEIR government will we begin to contain this bureaucratic leviathan. And one way to do that is through massive civil disobedience.

It’s guaranteed that if you irritate your neighbors by the way you use your drone, they’ll go after you and use the registration issue. That’s how this regulation will be enforced, and, most likely, strongly enforced.

Interesting.
FAA N-numbers are on line and searchable by owner name.
Will these be also?

Theyâre OK with that. One $27,000 fine at a time. And $250,000 if youâre really stupid with it.No. I refuse to pay. I will cause great mayham and shedding of liquids if they attempt to make me pay. I am going to go way out of my way and buy a drone, simply so I can refuse to comply with this law.
