The actor who played master swordsman Inigo Montoya in "The Princess Bride" said Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz doesn't understand the point of the 1987 classic that he often quotes on the campaign trail.
Mandy Patinkin said he's received emails from friends alerting him to pictures on the Internet that show scenes taken from the movie with the Texas senator's face superimposed on top of his body, The New York Times reported.
"They Photoshopped his face right over my face!" Mr. Patinkin told the Times. "I said, 'How can I stop this?'"
Mr. Cruz has long listed "The Princess Bride" as his favorite movie and has started quoting the movie on the campaign trail.

Shut up and act.
I am a big boy and I don’t mind being called names especially when they aren’t true but I appreciate your words of caution.
I love Mandy Patinkin as an actor, but his attitude is naïve beyond belief. How the heck did he star in “Homeland” and not have some of it rub off on him? Did he ever read the scripts?
The Princess Bride is semiannual fare in my household.
My grandson knows the dialogue by heart. For *every* character.
My favorites :
Inconceivable!
I’m with the goon squad
You *are* the goon squad!
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
No, to the pain!
He still gets his girl in the end and Mandy Patinkin still loses.
“He was kind of cute back in the day. Now he looks like your psychologist.”
With those squinty eyes, I think he looks more like a proctologist.
Decent series.
Check.
Yet another meaningless nasty-word ... it belongs in the same verbal dumpster as "racist", "sexist", "homophobe", "islamophobe" ...
While observing the start of a marriage ceremony officiated by a fully decked out “ American Catholic priest” my son blurted out
MAWWIAGE! MAWWIAGE is what bwings us TOGEVVAH!
Luckily our family is the only ones who got it
LOL
That’s funny.
He always lands great parts (Criminal Minds, Dead Like Me)but eventually gets bored and bad mouths them.
Is that serious? Because if it is, it is hilarious.
He is first and foremost a Broadway song and dance guy.
He is more a “Thespian” in his mind than an “actor.” Eh, it seems like a difference without a distinction to me.
However, to give the guy some credit, there are some decent You Tube videos of him interacting with people who are constantly asking him to recite his monologue from TPB.
There is one from a guy driving a cab that is very funny.
Like all actors, singers, or whatever...their opinion on politics mean nothing to me. Their opinion and vote matter as much as mine. Or anyone else.
You mean rodents(rats) of unusual size? I don’t think they exist. ARRGGG
Excellent!
